lighting help please

i have a bucket im trying to grow in, i have 2 40w and 2 26w cfls, and a fan
what should i do to improve my lighting? without getting my box too hot

add more watts! simple. another useful thing to know is more light means more heat. 132w is no way near enough im afraid

thanks, i think i posted the tread twice somehow :cuss: on accident, one has pictures
but ill go to the store today and pick up some more lights
what spectrum should i use for veg? and which for flowering?

blue for veg red for flower. but if u get an hps u can get dual spectrum bulbs or if uv got the cash get a metal halide for veg and and hps for flower, get a dual ballast that can take both and then all u need to do is switch bulbs at flowering time.

im having same problem getting a definative answer mate . some say just hps will do some say u need dual spec hps and some say just add a couple of daylite cfls . im confused to . in an ideal world wots best ?? apart from the sun lol

metal halide for veg and hps for flower is without a shadow of a doubt the best way. no question about it. u can improve it by throwing some cfls at the sides and bottom to get light to the underside of the plants. i promise you that no better way to light exists. its all variations on the same theme. if you can only afford one light or bulb then its hps.
