will get an update of the babies tomorrow, there lookin nice!
Nice man. I'm gonna grab a spot on the couch if you don't mind!

I got an order with the DNA christmas freebies. 6 LA Con, 5 TW, and 1 kush berry The UFO's ended up being G13 Labs 1 midnight kush, 1 superskunk and 1 lockstock. The dna freebies are awesome eventhough somebody gave me two packs labeled Kandy Kush x Skunk. Bastards.

Three of the seeds in one bag look more olive green with black spots only on one, and only at the end of the seed pod. Three of them in the other bag have a few black spots all over the seed pod.

You guys still have some of these beans sitting around? I'd really like to know which of these two bags is kandy kush and which is the other. Was it kushberry x skunk?

Kandy kush x skunk
Kandy kush x skunk
La con x skunk
sleestack x skunk
og18 x skunk

Anyways, glad I found your grows mang! I can't wait to see what these beans can do!

hey guys, got some more pics for ya. this morning I watered both plants with a FF nute solution, consisting of 1 tsp. of gro big, and about 2 tblsps of big bloom. Also supercropped the main stem on LA skunk A, as well as tied down LA skunk B. thanks to Reiss for the rubber band tip!!

looking very healthy, short space between nodes should make for some nice clones as soon as sex is determined!

hey why do you bend the plants? or r they growing like that
LST - Low Stress Training - The goals are to keep the plant shorter and to encourage branching. Using this technique can result in higher yields and enables the gardener to manipulate growth in a certain direction.

Super Cropping - Bending or snapping the main stem or branches away from the center. Increases light penetration below the canopy and encourages branching.

yep early said it right, just encourages growth in different parts of plants. especially helpful in growing small areas, like i am. the babies are lookin great, vigourous veg growth and very strong stems.

havent seen brevity around in a while. not the same without the dazed and confused comments. hahaha

Slater: Oh, man, I'm fuckin' wasted.

This one could be quoted often.

I was talking about growth patterns and branching with my bro last night. I was curious about LST and topping and how all that works. We know that doing these sorts of things encourage branching and we could say that increased light to the lower developing branches causes them to grow faster. That's all fine and dandy. It's not the total truth however....

Branching is controlled by auxins in the plant tips. Before topping, the greatest concentration of auxins in the plant is at the tip of the meristem, at the top. These auxins send out chemicals down through the plant which tells the branches below to reduce cell multiplication and elongation. This is what keeps the branches shorter. Of course there is variance between different genetics that may determine the maximum length any given branch. The differences between indica and sativa is a good example. Indica typically has little branching, sativa is a branch monster.

When you top a plant you are cutting off that auxin supply. The result is increased branching. Slowly, those auxins build up in the tips, The greatest concentration being at the tallest point and it now becomes the top.

So, although light does encourage the branches, or actually, the plant, to grow, it's not actually the light that 'makes' them grow, it's the auxins that keep them from growing.

No thread high jacking here. Just thought I would share information. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I have the basic idea covered adequately.

Did you snap some photos of those seed bro?

been keeping a close eye on the babies, as I switched the light cycle to 12/12 about 5 days ago to determine sex. I have a hashplant mother that is basically outgrowing everything else in the closet so i need to make room :bigjoint:

but yea.. on both plants it looks like balls are starting to develop, im gonna give it a couple more days and hope im wrong lol..
