Wardobe vented through house vents

Okay so i have two birds that i think i can kill with one stone, just wanted to see if anyone else has tried this.

Okay so i have a wardrobe in my room, i run a 400w mh/hps cooltube in there, The first problem im having is the light gets so hot that if i dont always leave my bedroom door open the temps will sore up to the high 80's and low 90's.

The other problem is, the actual air coming out of the ducting is traveling at such a high speed that its really loud!

So the question i have is, my wardrobe is right next to the vent in my room, i was thinking about running the ducting into the vent and just venting all my warm air into my ventillation system on my house and then just finding some way to block the vent in my room, forcing all the hot air to go in the living room.

Has anyone ever tried this? Seems like it would work fine, especially because the vent to my room is only a few feet from the vent in my living room so i would essentially just be routing it to another part of my house, and alot of air coming out of my living room vent will seem normal.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

hey i got something in the works right now and was thinking about doing the same thing you are describing... one thing that i was concerned about is the odor of your bud stinking up which ever part of your house you are routing that hot air to... what do you think?

It will flutter your house with stale stinky air, a ventilation system shouldnt be loud or hot for a measly 400...

Well im going to build a carbon filter so i wont have to worry about the smell, i would def suggest it!

does this vent having moving air already flowing towards your room??
It does, but here is why i think it will work, my room shares a wall with the living room, the living room vent and my vent are only about 3 feet away on opposite sides of the wall, so when i close my vent it routes more air to the living room. So it would naturally flow into my living room.

What do you think?
