Can I be alright burning 22 watt CFL's, I really don't want to spend anymore $$ on lights right now and these are all I got... What I've done is taken my 600w MH and hung it about 5 feet from the soil and hung 2 CFL's 11w like 6 in from soil. The seeds were just planted and havn't even broken the soil yet... I know I should just go out and get better lights, but will the set-up be healthy or what do you think I should do with what I've got?
Question, about, low watt CFL, 22 watt total for first week or two.

Ah but honestly I'll probably just spend the money on 2 50 watt CFL's if it's iffy..

you will be fine with just your MH. if you want to supplement during flowering get some 42watt or higher cool white 2500k cfls.
Damn, my 600 watt lamp is raising the temperature to like 90, I just watered my soil like 2 hours ago and the top is already dry, and my ballast could fry an egg. I'm going to burn my place down as well as kill these plants.
I need to find a solution, I turned off my lights and going to sleep. Maybe I'll switch to CFL's until I get a 250w. Live and learn I guess, more light down't mean healthier plants, in my 4x7 it means dead plants.

Na man spend 30$ on a good bathroom fan and just suck the air out of your room from right beside your light, I had an 1000w hps in a 4x4' room you just have to suck that hot air out. also try and keep your ballast outside the room your growing in or else it's as good as a heater
LOL thanks man that's exactly what I did the day after EXACTLY. I have my ballast on a guitar stand outside and it's just warm now, and I have a BOX fan on setting pne blowing out the door. LOL thanks man.
LOL, I did I think I was stressin that first day, I just have the MH like 4 feet away from em and I've got 5 shoots green and nice looking, the ICE and SNOW white is the front runners now and the 2 WIDOW's, and one indoor mix, are behind. I fucked up the CRYSTAL by diggin in the soil and I couldn't find the seed so I through the soil out and started germ on another crystal this morning. ALL feminized and lookin good so i'm happy with how it's goin for the grow. THANKS
