How do I keep the humidity up, with still having my room properly ventilated?

My setup is:

3 - 600w HPS lights, growing in soil, room size is about 12.5'x9.5'x9'. I have a 445 CFM fan attached to a carbon filter that is sucking air from room and exhausting it through the wall and I have another 445 CFM fan drawing cold air in the room from outside. These 2 fans are running 24/7.

My problem is, my humidity is steadily around 20%!! Ive tried leaving 2 - 5gal buckets filled with water sitting out, not to mention using a humidifier which is made for a medium sized room. The humidifier maybe brought it up 2-5%. How can I keep my room properly ventilated and keep humidity up at the same time?

Thanks everyone!!!

Are you sure that having your space stay at 20% RH is a problem? I think it just might turn out to be a blessing in disguise, especially in the latter stages of flowering.

Other than having it cause you to have to may be water a little more often I don't think you have a problem.

Humidity can be kept at a decent range by misting the plants a couple of times during the veg period.i would not mist the plants past the second week of flowering this could cause bud rot.you can put a small tub of water in the corner of the grow room and this will escape into the air through the heat generated by the light.but has long has the plants are watered right,by watered right i mean once a week i take my plants into the bath room put them into the bath and wet the hell out of them with ph'ed water with nutrients in.the water that is been held in the grow medium will be enouth to give the grow room a decent humidity.if the plants look ok without doing any of these thing then i would not bother there prob getting all they need from the room its self.

Is it more necessary in vegetation?

Thanks man

I say blessing in disguise is right. Its way easier and cheaper to add humidity than remove it imho. What size pots are your plants in? Switch them to the largest pot you are going to put them in and saturate the soil, that will slowly add humidity to the room. When I put my ladies in 5 gallon pots the humidity sky rocketed.
Also, you could get a speed controller for the fans and put them on a lower setting so the air isn't cycling through as fast. If you don't want to get a speed controller, you could get a timer so the fans go on and off every 15 minutes. Or, you could get rid of the intake fan and just have a passive intake so you aren't forcing so much air into the room.

take a couple towels and soak them with hot water then ring em out a little bit so they dont drip all over and hang em in ur growroom..i just learned this and tried it and before my RH was 35% now its 45% and hopefully still rising
