Best Base Water To Start With?

I have heard several different suggestions for what water to start with when doing DWC. RO, distilled, purified, tap and rain water are all options but which do you growers prefer.

Why do ugly guys always post sexy female avatars? R) or RODI water assures you know just what your ppm of concentrtaes really are. Generally RO water is adequate unless your water was very hard water at the tap. Even water that starts at a TDS of 1250 will still typically leave a RO filter at or around no more than 50 ppm. If using water with a TDS at or near zero you are assured that your final EC or ppm of salts are at the ratios that are in the mixed fertilizer formulations. 50 ppm of calcium would not gretaly effect the over all analysis. Distiiled water is quite often of fairly low quailty. Eeven using a good all galss laboratory still with a thermometer and quality condemsor it is hard to obtain really good water that compareds to RO water. Getting water by distilllation comparable to RODI water would be neraly a miracle.

Enginnerig degrees, I simply use the common low paid administrative assistants to correct my spelling and grammar. They are so readily available (10% of my hourly pay) and earn so little (10% of my hourly pay) they are better than spell check.

Then, than who really cares what you think. "en" thats a cute word dude. Can't spell and invent words. THAT MAKES YOU SO SPECIAL DUDE.

It really isn't a good idea to come here with 4 posts and snark at someone who tried to help you, and with good info I might add. Both of you go stand in the corner now!

Fatman was correct in his first reply. RO is the way to go. Try zerowater. Just got one and it works great. Free ppm meter too when you buy one. oh and ps. If you are not ugly don't take offense. He was kidding. Lurk for a while and you will see what Fatman is reefering to.

Yeah, it always starts out as a joke; until my eFeelings get hurt! Plenty familiar with forums and fatmans. So I checked out Zerowater and their site is well-done. Its comparable to a Brita with superior filtration. I haven't got a water cooler and don't think I would want to fill pitcher after pitcher for my needs. However; it would be great in the sense that I haven't got water supply in the growroom for a mounted unit. Solid suggestion. I'll jot it in the log and continue the search. Thx BC
