I am about to start flowering and I am about to try something i havent tryed before and I was curious if anyone else does this or is it just a bad idea? I have 2 1000's HPS HOrtilux bulbs and the middle light is going to be a Halide Hortilux in between the other 2 lights. This are evenly spaced in a 9' span with a decent reflectint. I could use any info on flowering with a halide in there and rotation on the kids. I just usually use all hps for flowering but I was recently told by a good friend this would work beter. Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanks I was going to plan on rotating the plants I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to hurt anything by doing this. I also wanted to try it because I wanted to see how it effected the yield. Thanks Jackdirty for the input I am always accepting more.

Hondo, i have the same set-up through cooltubes. i'm running 8 per cycle, 3 cycles= 24 budding plants. Each cycle is cut down every three weeks while adding a cycle. I'm in a 8x8x8 room, plants get 3-5 ft tall. I place the oldest cycle right under the lights for maxim lumans. Yeild about 1/4 lb per plant.
Hey Seasmoke thanks for the reply I was mainly worrying about the light setup where i have a 10x5x9' room and i have 3 1000's in a row spread even through 9ft the middle light being the hortilux blue halide. So should i just keep them on rotation or should i just pop another hps in there instead of the halide? Any thoughts?

I have 5 1000k hps's and 1 mh 1000. Even at 4-5 weeks into flowering ive noticed the plants under the MH are much more crystally but are smaller. The plants under the HPS's are a bit size bigger but don't seem to have as much crystal production yet. I have the same exact plants(AK-47 and GDP) under the MH as I do under the MH. Same pots, Same nutrients, Same soil. We'll see when they are done!
