Ebb & Grow Hybrid questions...

I just got the Ebb & Grow unit, I have done DWC before, and have more experience with that.
I wanted to put an air stone in the bottom of each pot and aerate the water during the flood cycle.
Which in turn should mean, I can flood more times per day, and for a little bit longer?

Does anyone have any thoughts about this idea?

Hi and welcome... Please check out my link showing air stones underneath my pots....

I run air stones underneath all my pots its kind of like a DWC but I also feed from a hose directly to the roots from the top of the pot... The photos I have taken illustrate this well... My roots can stay in water all day and all night due to the amount of air I am putting into the water...:-)

Good luck with it...

in an ebb and flow, that should make little or no difference. i'm sure you'll get different answer from each person you ask. theory being that the exchange of gases happens through the surface - and not through the bubbles - which mostly provides circulation in either system.
