ok ive got a little box its 64Cm high , 50Cm wide and 45Cm deep and i was gonna put a CFl light in there but then i thought i wonder if i can put a Hps in there hahaha so im just wondering on the height of the thing and shit if having a 250W or 400W Hps in there would be overkill? and kill the plant or get to hot?

whats that in inches? im from america. a cooltubed 150-400w hps might be possible. but i cant tell till you clarify that for me......

I've never ran a 400watt, but I do run 2 600's and without the fans blowing on them they run so hot you can't touch the metal housing. However, only about 6-8 inches away its warm and acceptable. So the heat really fades quick, I run an open reflector with an $8 walmart fan blowing on it and that was enough to cool it to the point that I could hold my hand onto it...

So not sure about the 400watt, but a 600watt would never work in there... After you account for your growing pot, room to grow, and some airflow... You'd have nothing left over but some branches and a light. I recommend CFL. A nice Y connector on the top of the box with an extension cord you could run 4 CFLS, get the 43watt blubs at about $10 a piece.

depends on venting you can put a 400 watt hps in a 3ftx3ftx 7ft tall room and as log as you got an intake and outtake fan youll be aight

im going to say no, i doubt a 70w hps would even fit in their. to be honest your gonna have problems fitting more than a few cfls in their imo. ive never tried it and dont know much about it but im thinking you should look into getting an led panel or 2. :joint:
