Help me make up my mind

My dilema is, I'm undisided on getting a cool tube or one of those air cooled reflectors with the glass in them.
As of now I have a 400 watt hps with a "bat wing"
I hear the cool tube cuts down on the foot print, because the light goes everywhere, but couldn't I get one of those and just attach my bat wing on to it and save myself 50-100 bucks
Can you attach them?
Or should I just the the other one? what's the pro's and con's?
Help would be very appreciated.

next time why don't you mark the pot instead or put some kind of indicator in the soil. It really dose not make any sense to mark the shell of the seed because it comes off after the plant sprouts. Okay your doing the soak method why not soak it in a separate container. I guess i just really don't understand why you would mark the seed so many more simple easy less destructive ways.

Ummmm.......dude......what the hell are you talking about, you must be trying to write on another thread or something, that has absolutly nothing to do with my question at all.

Cool tubes will be easier to cool but the regular air cooled hoods will give you a much better spread of light
I have a 400w HPS in a cool tube now and am getting rid of the cool tube for a big air cooled reflector
The light spread on the cool tubes are crap, I would go with the regular air cooled hood
I am looking at getting this one: http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc.asp?ic=HLRESYM2&eq=&Tp=

For what? I am using a 6 inch inline fan for my 6 inch cool tube
I will be using the same 6 inch inline fan for when I get that 6 inch flanged reflector

do 6" fans have the same cfm's as 4"?
I'm new to this fan thing I just have 2 16" osolating fans and a cyclone booster to cool my light.

ha I don't know what the fuck is going on lol, bat wing reflectors are most efficient for light coverage, if you could do a cooled bat wing hood with glass that would be prime. a cool tube would be easier to do with your current set up but you would lose the light coverage. Im sure you have decided by now though

I think I'm still leaning towards the cool tube/batwing if it attaches, I'll check tomorow if I can do it or not, thanks for the input
