Looking for LED light recommendations

Thanks for all the responses guys.

@CSI - yeah, I'll definitely be steering clear of those panels and continue my search for something with more intensity.

@highaltitude - Thanks for stopping by and Happy Harvest! I'll check out your grow for sure.

So what I've gathered so far is that the UFOs are a safe "go to" light but that there may be some emerging LEDs and complete light systems that are much better. Check out http://www.procyondepot.com/ and Cree LEDS (http://www.cree.com/Products/xlamp.asp). Anything that I've seen with Cree LEDs looks quality but out of my price range.

The search continues!

Yep, that's pretty much the conclusion I came to. Until LED lights become more common and the technology gets cheaper they are going to be out of the price range of many hobbyist growers.

Also, just read this https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/181066-led-grow-lights-separating-fact.html and it totally killed my buzz.

I don't know enough about lighting systems yet to be the authority on the subject but it seems to me that there is a lot of rivalry and competition between different growers. People like to preach that their system is better than anyone else simply because that's what they're using. It's disappointing to see because it would be so much better if we all kept an open mind and explored different options. Then again - facts are facts.

Bro. you need to watch Irishboy grow journal here on Rollitup. Also Rumple does killer stuff with White Window's here is his link.

Also I am testing a new LED out.

Yes the good ones are pricey. But like the one I am using (fingers crossed) is suppose to last around 20 years. That means I do not have to buy another bulb. I got one of those kw meters and ran it for 24 hrs with the light running it was nothing. Myself I would stay away from the cheap ones. If you cant afford a good one go and get the CFL's they are doing pretty good. My buddy has a set-up that is kicking some ass and all he is using is CFL's.
GOOD LUCK BRO..

These are the newest and believed to be best out right now, they are mentioned above, they have the correct spectrum with best angle, there are a lot of test grows right now but i couldnt wait, so i ordered the 126w, my gf is awesome.
That one seems to do pretty good it is one that Irishboy is using. What kills me is these guys buy the 30 to $80 LED crap and they get crap (Buds) then they come on to the boards and start putting down all LED's. Yes some of the sales people do make them out to grow the best, but what it comes down to is you might have to change your way of doing things. We have a good HPS set-up and do great grows in it. But what works there might not work with an LED. There has to be more testing done on these so we all can cant the best grow out of them (LED's). We had to put our light on a track system and also raise the heat up to 81 degrees. That help ALOT.

Are you saying that with LEDs they grew better at 81 than at 75? Flowering? I have noticed they don't transpire a lot with LEDs.
ive been seeing a lot about LEDs performing better with the temps in the 80s, ill let you know in a couple weeks.
