ROTFLMAO!!!

I've gotta admit after i read a few of the replies I was like "ah, shit! now people are gonna think I'm trying to claim someone elses work" lol. I don't post pics (I don't have a digital camera except the one on my phone) and my computer/internet savvy is, shall we say, quite limited so I doubt my ability to successfully transfer pics even if i had a digicam. I'll stick to playin' in the dirt!!!!

My analysis stands pat - those are some pathetic looking plants that will not yield much based on the fact that he, nor you, understand simple botanical concepts. I agree those plants look sickly and should be put out of their misery...i'm not saying that trimming or lollipoping is good or bad, but those won't produce much in the end...regardless of what you say. we've been gardening since 75 and have tried so many methods and procedures and some worked some didn't. I haven't read anything that UB posts that goes against what we do or have done and continue to do.
trimming leaves decreases yield...plain and simple...cutting off some lower bud sights will in most cases increase the main cola size...but that depends on the plant type and its genetics...it isn't a one size fits all dude...

yeap lst is a smart way to open your plant up, especially a topped plant

any of u guys prune lower bud sites off branches for bigger colas? does this work well?

nah just lst and make all the bud sites work for you, topping is only forcing a plant to push out branches that would have grown in time anyway..................

check your lighting and find out how deep your light penetrates... if your light only penetrate 24 inches then its silly to grow a plant thats any taller than that.. anything under that 24 inches wont fully mature unless u use supplimental lighting around the bottoms.... the other alternative to that is to take the area that the penetration stops and remove those branches and buds... that also reduces the footprint of the plant and more can be placed per square foot... also the energy used for the smaller buds and bottom branching will all be used to produce one large main bud that has full lumen access......

i lollypop because igrow alot of plants sog.. increased my yield.. i also top till i get a few main colas then lollypop them all, then i supercrop all those branches to get them juiced up

1. I do it all the time with 5' tall plants that are loaded with bud to the bottom. Apples are known to ripen in the shade, cannabis will produce good lower bud with limited light. I think the lollipopping drill came up based on folks inability to retain lower leaves, so the drill of dropping the lifeblood of the plant became a coverup and then "cool" over time,

2. Do you have a light meter? Does it register PAR so that you can evaluate R and FR at the lower levels?

Where you are missing the (botanical) point is the total amount of simple and complex carbohydrates produced by the plant and how they are distributed. You guys don't think that those carbos are not distributed to where they are needed, that they are somehow localized? I think you do.

Well, guess that's why cannabis doesn't have any roots, cause there aint no light down there. :p

i was thinking 10-20 major, well lit bud sites, potentially colas, will give a way bigger yeild if they are the only bud sites on the plant
THAN if there are another 50 bud sites of lower buds, shaded buds, skimpy buds on the plant

so in essence your 10-20 major sites i mentioned above give 100 grams when alone, but only 45 when with the other 50 bud sites produce another 35 grams

UB you are sayin none of this holds ground, its not how it works? just need to make sure i understand your side

all my talk is theory, trying to prove it but no grow goin currently
