Hey FDD you've made some nice glass, how did you learn? Is it expensive to get started? I would love to have a glass hobby and you have a couple pieces I want to buy off ya.

i'm mostly self taught. i took a few basic lessons to bump me ahead a liottle, but it can all be learned on your own. there are books and forums for everything. :mrgreen: :blsmoke:

i think i still have that one. dude at the pipe shop wanted it but the bowl hole was "oval". i threw it back in the kiln and fixed it. i was going to take it back to him but haven't made it over there yet.

Ok, I have been interested in learning glass and this thread inspired me. Im gonna take some classes, get some books, read on forums and hopefully there will be pics of my shit on here soon.

i'm cleaning of an area for my laptop next to my workbench. i'm going to have a "live feed", of me working, up in a few days. hopefully. :cool:

cool, i'll be watching. hey fdd, that guy asking about oil pipes made me think of your former quote -"doesnt make bongs"- which got me to wondering- why not? your work looks really good and you seem to have a knack for glass blowing, I'm sure you could make some insane shit if you tried. :peace:
