i found two of these lights in my kitchen and i was wondering if they would heat up too much cuz so far they get hot kinda fast. they are 60W and its in that closet and i have a fan in the closet facing the lights im growing 1 or 2 small lowryder plants and theres reflective stuff around the area but i moved it in closer than in the picture

that is the wrong kind of bulb to be using for growing mj with.. it looks like a regular incadesent bulb, which puts out way to much heat, and it wastes more energy than it produces light.. and most of the light that it does make, is in the wrong spectrum..
through that sucker in the trash, or use it to light up a dark room, and go and get yourself some cfls.. they are the spiral energy saver bulbs you see everywhere now adays... get the biggest wattage ones you can find, and make sure you look at the actual wattage, and not the equvelent size of the bulb.. the 6500k ones are good for veg, and the 2700k ones are good for flower.. put them like two or three inches away from your plants, and put a lil fan in there with them..

One 30W CFL will give you almost 3x the light and 1/3 of the heat(the heat part is a guess). I would spend the $5 for the CFL but, that's just one mans opinion.
