first i will state a few things, YES uncle ben knows a few things and YES he has good advice on many topics, but to any new grower you can tell hes an old fucking fart crying about noob theories cute nick names and forum hype for very legitimate topics SUCH AS LOLLIPOPPING

First of all, UNCLE BEN YOU DONT FLUSH THE CHEMICAL NUTRIENTS OUT OF YOUR PLANTS? YOUR FUCKING DISGUSTING WHO WANTS TO SMOKE THAT SHIT THE ASH MUST BURN AS BLACK AS A SOMALIAN BUSHMAN
furthermore, YOU THINK NOT PRUNING BOTTOM BRANCHES WILL YEILD MORE THAN LEAVING ALL INTACT!? your 50 years of experience is working against you here because you seemed to get quite upset at the fact that information like this is being passed on and you don't endorce it, when the case is IT IS COMPLETELY RIGHT

let me give you some statistics please and i have only been growing for two years, am very good at it and if you let yourself listen to a senile man with no real idea what the future of growing is your never going to get anywhere

For KUSH strains i do sea of green and lollipop every single plants and i harvest close the 3 pounds per 1000 watt (kush doesnt create perfect colas)
FOR GOOD COLA STRAINS i lolloipop every plant and harvest ALMOST 4.5 LBS PER 1000w light. I just got back into the forums so if you want pictures ill get them to you.

YOU MUST REMOVE LOWER BRANCHES WHO THE FUCK WANTS THE SHIT DOWN THERE!, DONT LISTEN TO THE OLD FOOL IM TELLING YOU, HE MAY KNOW SOMETHINGS YES BUT THE FACT THAT HE DOESNT FLUSH AND ISNT EVEN OPEN TO THE IDEA OF PRUNING LOWER BRANCHES SHOWS THAT HIS BRAIN HAS STOPPED GROWING AND HE IS BECOMING MENTALLY DEPLEATED, IE SENILE, AND ITS CLEAR IN THE TONE OF HIS REPLIES THAT HE IS FRUSTRATED ON MANY LEVELS, I WILL NOT DELVE ANY FURTHER

Flushing is a myth and for kids that think a plant is like a radiator.

Yeah, I'm out as well - reasonable people should have no issues disagreeing, but when the personal attacks come in (about differing methods of growing a fugging plant, for God's sake), that's when I'm out.

Appreciate everyone throwing their $.02 regarding lollipopping on this thread, though.

lots of drama around these parts.
i was wondering about lolllipoping mother plants
i know the rooting hormones i want are in the lower leaves(for clones)
if i lolli-pop will the lowest leaves on the plant still be as good for clones?
i assume the hormones are in the lowest leaves no matter how far they
are from the root-system

if anyone can help it highly appreciated

Why would you want to lollipop a mother plant? I would think you would want the most branches to take cuttings.

If you are only growing a few plants per cycle and have limited veg room space then trimming from the bottom up (turning my mother into a lollipopped looking plant) about every week seems to work well for me. It slows the mothers growth. When it comes to mothers im all about trimming the lower bush. :hump: Also a few days after trimming 2-4 branches the branches right above thicken nicely and work well if you like taking big clones.

lollipopping isnt a bad method at all espeicially in tight spaces, lower buds that do not recieve direct light will be shit, ive seen it again and again...

Cosign on that - I find that a SOG mother setup works best for me as well - get more hardy and viable cuttings from four smaller moms as opposed to one super-bush mom.

It's a space thing.

u know uncle ben u really seem to know what ur doin and all but u dont have to be a asshole about it. i have read through most of this thread and u talk about people trying to protect there ego, when most of the people u accuse say what they have to say and move on. not u. u stick around and keep putting other people down. the only person i see flexing there ego around hear is u. besides if someone says that there crop turned out good for them then they dont need u telling them otherwise just because they dident do it to ur standards. and if someone decides to try something new they dont need u putting them down about it just state what u think and move on. screw u uncle ben. i like ur techniques but u got a shitty attitude buddy. grow up a little and come back when ur ego is not so big :)

Wrong. You've seen what and from who? Research R and FR light (red and far red). That statement sounds like an attempt to rationalize your shortcomings, "seen it again and again". Perhaps your results are what they are because you're following forum bullshit and/or your approach is not finely tuned. You certainly don't represent my ways. I understand the function and importance of leaves and lighting.

See my avatar? Ever wonder what those 3" wide chunks of white are at the bottom of the plant? That's right. ;)

These plants aren't quite ready for harvest but the photos illustrate my point that I get good bud production in spite of my plants being crammed in like sardines. My plants are bushes, not short.
