Why are they droopy???

I switched an emily's garden (DWC) into a continuous drip system.

The reservoir has 2 gallons of water. I use Iguana Juice (Organic).

2.5 teaspoons per gallon. (Bottle says 3.5 ml per liter).

400 Watt HPS.

They are 4 weeks into flowering.

i have 4 plants. 2 are doing well and 2 are starting to get really really droopy!!!! :spew:

The two plants which are droopy have more bud on them than the other 2. Way more bud!

i found out that the PH was 8.0. However, an hour ago, i changed the PH back to 5.5.

The two plants are still droopy. I don't know why. What am i doing wrong? Do i need to wait longer?

How can 2 plants be doing well and 2 plants suck in the SAME goddamn system?!?!?

Any advise is appreciated.

Sorry no pix.

Thanks.

when did you switch the grow method?

I started flowering in a regular emily's garden at 10/15.

I switched the grow method at 11/5. The nutrient-water is now delivered directly to the bottom of the stalk. it trickles down into the emily's garden and then down into the reservoir and back up again.

The two plants were doing fine until 2 days ago.

Now they are really droopy.

The other two in the same system are fine!!!

I don't get it i really don't. this is heartbreaking.

Do you have a pump in the res to circulate the water? Are the lines are clear and no clogs?

hello chiceh,

Yes there is a submersible 185 gph pump circulating water to all roots.

No clogs nothing. the water is flowing at a steady pace.

I couldn't take it anymore. i couldn't figure out whats wrong. especially when the other 2 plants are doing ok!

so i switched it back to an emily's garden just now and i re-installed the air pump again.

Hopefully this works.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Yes, I have read the girls will still take much advantage from the bubbles in a drip system. Also the big buds will use much of the nutrients that would normally go to the leaves.

So... your suggestion is to add more nutrients? I'm at 2.5 teaspoons per gallon.

Should i raise it as flowering continues??? 3 tspn per gallon? 4? 5? 6?

If the girls with smaller buds are not showing any signs of nut burn, then I would raise the nuts by 1/2 teaspoon and see how all react. This is one you will have to play by ear, but since the smaller girls are doing well, I would think more nuts will do the trick. You shouldnt have to continue raising during flowering, just needs to be high enough to feed the big buds. If the trichromes are starting to turn milky with a tint of amber, it is possible the big buds are almost ready for harvest, in witch case the plant will use all nutes available for the production of THC and the leafs will start to wilt starting from the bottom working its way up.

update...

well.. i'm sorry to inform u that the two plants are pretty much dead. There are tiny buds on them and i think i might have less then an eighth on my hands from both plants.. lol. The buds have an orange tint to them.

After spending hours on trying to save them, I've finally given up.

The other 2 are still going strong.

oh well.. back to the drawing board.
