Cfl Grow 2x bag seed, 1 super silver haze 1 aurora indica

so here is my new grow, right now each little plant will be sitting under a 40w cfl (is that enough for a seedling?) i have 2 sprouts right now as seen here (sorry for bad pics only had a cell)

and the setup is here

any comments? tips?

looks fine and should be enough to start them. i started 15 of them all bunched up under 4 26w lights. then bumped it up to 8 lights and down to 12 plants as they got past their first leaves. just watch em when their tiny like that with the lights close. should be fine but better safe then check them later and their burned up lol


oh throw saran wrap over the top just till they get the leaves. i dont know if its just a case by case deal but it seemed to make mine pop up and get their first leaves faster

ok so ive added 2 fans, 1 in and one out the one going in is running at about 1500rps 120mm fan, and the one going out is a mighty 3000rmp 120mm fan lol

it was way more work than i really wanted to do this after noon but was pretty fun, here is what it looks like...

im thinking that the wind going in will help with stem strength.

is that the farthest you can get the intake away? and its better to have it on the other side of the box so it flows over the plants. them are kinda close together and its gonne suck alot of the hot air right back in

yeah the box is not that big and i did not want a fan right on the bottom, so i spaced them out as much as i thought was good.

and i did not think of putting it on another wall. but to late now since i already made the whole.

i think it will still be ok.

UPDATE

ok so almost end of day 2 now and i just planted 2 more seeds hope to seem them up in about 2 days. but the 2 that are already up and out are looking good... i think, here they are

so this may be a stupid question but does anything seem wrong with them? are they stretching? one of them has a purple stem where as the other is green?? lol im so confused with this stuff... any help is greatly appreciated. +rep to all helpers

YEa, hey, you got the wrong idea there with your reflector. If ya wanna use pie plates, they need to be right behind the bulb like 1/2 to 1 inch away. other than that, those bulbs will work very well for the first month or so. Will you be flowering with CFL's?? And man, who cares if your seeds came in a bag with your stash. You can always grow any MJ seed to great potiential. IMO!

The purple is normal. And no they are not stretching. Keep your lights 2 inches away BROAD side, not the tip of the CFL, and you'll be golden. ALWAYS keep cfl's real close.

They look perfect. couldn't ask for much more. +rep for finding the center of your pots. Some ppl can't even do that.

i plan on veg for about a month with the 4100k and then flowering i have 2 40w 2700k cfl's and might get more but should be ok as im only keeping 1 plant in the end.

do you have any recommendation for a reflector? or how to make a better one with the pie plates?

no not at all, but im only keeping 1 plant, so at the momment i have 4 4100k 40w cfl and 2 2700k 40w cfl and will be getting 2 more 2700k for flowering.

ok so i fixed the lights differently now but im not sure about them. i think they will be a pain to adjust, i dont really have much room to work with but in the pics you will see what room i have and maybe be able to suggest something... O_O please suggest something lol

you can flower with one light, the plant WILL flower but the more light the more bud and getting 2700k will also help a lot, for 2 plants try to get about 6 42w if your going to go all cfl and i think that should be enough to get a nice yield. just set them up close to the plant.

what did you think of my light set up right now?

sike i hope your not planning to veg for a month in that tiny little box. if you are you should flip the light cycle to 12/12 when you get 2 sets of real leaves that way it will bud before they explode outa that box.

well the box is 3 feet high so i was thinking of veg till about 10-12 inches tall and then flower, but what are you thinking? like 6-8 inches? or even smaller? and only 1 plant is going to stay.
