Perhaps Ive missed something, you mean hydro for the NEXT grow right? it's impossible to switch from soil to hydro.. right? or is it.
yes i meant for the next grow. however there was someone who converted from soil to hydro in the middle of the grow. i can't remember who it was but he pulled out the ball of dirt with roots and broke it up to free the roots; washed the roots off and then threaded them through a net cup and placed it in a dwc. it worked too. i didn't think it could be done.

well you could always invest in some sativa seeds for your next grow. so have you decided on whether or not your gonna go hyrdo?

God I hope so, It just depends on the success of this grow.

I got Fox Farm Grow Big today...FINALLY.

took forever.

I have to get a pH tester very soon.

pics!!!!!!

2 1/2 months into the grow. Today I stopped off to get different lights and bigger containers. I have found the "paper clip" method works, but only so well. For me anyway. Yarn is a big no no, it's too bulky and fucked up several of my bud sites. However, seat belt thread works great. The paper clips only lasted about a month. Don't mind the blue tape, i use it as a band-aid for broken or damaged stems....works great.

So this is pretty much what my whole grow space looks like. It looks crappy but it's working, and that's what matters.

So what do you all think? How do they look for a first grow?

I do need to know when I should start topping and how to top, b/c i have no idea. I don't want to fuck it up. But the plants are maturing I can see some long hair like growth coming from the sides of the new stem sites. Do they look healthy enough? I know some do have pH damage but I have that under control now. I feed/water them tues and thursdays, no heavy feeding though, and on Saturdays I give them pH balanced regular water. I bought sunblaze T5 HO strip lights, 5000 lumens each. and for my tiny grow area that is more than enough.

I have had one plant die on me, only b/c my sis jinxed it so bad. It was her plant, she planted it herself and named it, but everytime she came over and looked at it (even when it was perfectly healthy) she claimed it was dying. So I guess it said fuck it, and died. I blame her. tisk tisk. It smelled so good too.

W00000t piixxxx!!!! *dances*

your absence was rather saddening. Is she by any chance your evil twin sister? anywho the pants look pretty good.

for topping what you do is you pinch off the very top growth of the main stalk. It has to be early in the new growth to work. I don't top because i like the look of a main huge cola.:mrgreen::mrgreen:

thank you for this. you've satisfied my ever increasing hunger:wink:

Topping the plants is a very good idea regardless of how much room you have but if you are stuck for space you might want to start sooner than I do.

I top my plants at the 5th node and then start branching out. i then pull the main branches down to stress them.
BUT you need to do this gently and gradually. these plants are a lot tougher than most people think and if you stress them right it only makes themm stronger.
Then instead of one big cola taking up a lot of light space, you get more of bush like plants that have strong stems and branches and a lot more bud sites for MORE BUDS!!!!

I even go as far as then trimming them all so they are relatively equal at the tops so that more light gets into these bud sites.

Yes your plants look very healthy and it is sooooooo good to finally see you again.:)

You are doing great gurl.
Keep up the good growing.:mrgreen::blsmoke:
