LST or FFIM ?

Hi im new to this and im wondering which of these methods works the best. LST is tieing the stems down back and forth opposites to make the stem "zigzag" from what i understand. The ffim is like topping but im not sure. If anyone can shed some light or post links to the proper topics than I would really appreciate it. Also how far long should they be before I start this process.

ive topped and fimmed and used lst on the same plants man the earilest ive topped was the first node

so after a couple weeks of growth? is there any way you can show me the links of how to properly LST or FIM. I found them before but cant find them now

yo dude, this guys got some good close up pics of FIMming on a white widow plant I believe. Fimming and topping have worked great for me, awesome when you want a few big ass colas. Generally I think its a rule to top after the..second true node? might wanna double check that though..but i started FIMming a few weeks into veg, and seein lots of new growth, hope that helps a little

yes you are right you are supposed to top zfter the second true node you can wait the third also u can topp a plant more than once the reason i top at the first node is because of 12 12 from seed

12/12 from seed that always baffles me areyou grow auto flowering plants? or hjave height issues? just wondering y 12/12 from seed

at first it was because my large grow was busted so i had to go really stealth so i wanted to see if it would work. i started 15 plants i a rubbremaid tote and 15 in a box i built and made stealyh and got close to an 0z on each plant in party cups much faster than my bigger grow where i vegged. but now i have mother plants and take clones and flower them from the get go. had to shut down temporiarily tho got my mother pplants still gotta build a new box tho

I tried LST for the first time on my four Nirvana AK-48 feminized plants. It seems to have formed additional bud sites, and the canopy is nice and even for lighting purposes. (No hot spots):

Honestly there are like two of these threads per week lol.
Should start a thread pole with lst or fim. Then post it with the other giudes at the top of the page or something so it's always there for people.

i lst...but my theory is root development....i think you can have 1 "bush" if you train the roots right (re-transplant)...i think i let the gods gift get too big and might have to re-transplant a second time but i only had my sour bobble in veg for 2.5 weeks and look at it now! that means 5 12/12 light cycles a year and you can do this in your closet because it bushes and doesn't get too big!
After I am done with the sour bobble the total grow time should be 2.5 months and since i let the gods gift (twice as big as bobble) veg for a month....im vegging 2.5 weeks now and lst my plants. There are only 2 plants in these pics Sour Bobble and Gods Gift and they are at 26 of flowering.
