Left = Misery

If one reads the threads in this forum one thing becomes evident. That people on the Left are miserable.

Just about every opinion that comes from those on the Left is some form of complaint, gripe, grievance, beef or hatred.

I have seen few if any threads started by Conservatives about people they hate. But, about every other thread from the Left is about someone they hate. There are probably a dozen threads about hatred of Glenn Beck alone.

And when they are not talking about people they hate, they are bitching about how unfair life is, how corrupt our Government is and how much the World oppresses them and exploits them.

Nobody on the Left ever has anything good to say about America, American prosperity, capitalism or about society in general. Nobody on the Left talks about anything in a positive light or is able to discuss their own success. Nobody on the Left takes credit or responsibility for anything. Instead they only discuss their failures and why these failures are everyone's fault but theirs.

Almost invariably, the conversations here consist of people on the Right defending America, our prosperity, capitalism and our society in general. People on the Right typically wind up taking the positive side of just about every discussion with the Left taking the negative.

Just about everything discussed becomes an issue of the Left claiming that nobody can succeed and the Right arguing that most people can if they try hard.

I for one find it much more productive to have a positive attitude than a negative one. Perhaps the reason Liberals seem to have so much difficulty in their lives has less to do with them being oppressed and exploited and more to do with their self limiting beliefs. Misery seldom brings about happiness.

Just a little something to think about.

No facts. All generalizations and full of irony.

My miserable leftist heart yearns for more complaining from you but my right wing mind begs for more of an absolutist approach.

Please try again.

It has long been known that people with personal issues and lots of unresolved anger and depression turn to hard left causes. It provides a psuedo sense of belonging and a convenient foil for anger against all parental figures and authority in general. So it isn't that liberals are angry and depressed, it is that angry and depressed people are more likely to be liberals.

generalizations such as these only show intolerance and ignorance.you prove nothing by attacking people except for the fact that you are angry little people

That is a very good point. Come to think of it, I myself feel more Left thinking when bad things happen or things are not going well. Very interesting. Now that I think about it, if you look at a number line you notice that the left end is - and the right end is +. It's as if you move to either end and your attitudes follow suit.

On another note, it is funny that people ask for "proof." Lefties are big on proof for everything in life. Was I not clear that my post was about other posts on this board written by Liberals? Therefore, wouldn't the proof be found all over this forum? I mean I could be wrong but...

It's natural because liberalism is about striking out against the status quo - change for change's sake. That's why liberalism is always associated with the young. I was a liberal when I was young, weren't we all? What galls me is the old age of aquarius liberals who never grew up and resolved their adjustment issues. They're still ranting the same old rhetoric from 40 years ago about corporations and war for profit and american imperialism and racism - blah blah blah.

i thought you were one of the good ones, one of the ones that liked FACTS.

you're generalization proves that point wrong but proves the notion that conservatives are generally CRAZY and IGNORANT AS FUCK right....

good luck in life...

how you got that from his observative response, I'll never know. Any ways i kind of agree illegal. Although i was raised with a high sense of self worth and learned early in life that nothing is free. So have never really been liberal in my political views i also highly value personal responsibility. So i guess it partly due to the environment you were raised in and personal experiences that shape views
in redivider's words i would be calling Libs lazy. hahahaha

You know its not really that simple. You're just comfortable believing it because it requires no more thought on your part. Everything is compartmentalized in familiar little boxes, and god forbid you think outside of those boxes.

The minute you start believing generalizations about groups of people is when you stop viewing them as people and as individuals. That narrow mindedness is what limits us a as a society...its disappointing to hear such illogical rhetoric supported on this forum.

I've made the very same observation. Most Conservatives are Liberal in their youth - it goes along with their rebellion. Then they grow out of their rebellion and their Liberalism, and realize that Hubris is for fools and that wise men realize how little they know and how insignificant their thoughts are compared to the wisdom of the ages.

Adult Liberals, as if that isn't an oxymoron, were never Conservative. They were Liberal as teens and they never changed. This fact alone kind of demonstrates the scope of the two differing worldviews.

Perhaps that is why they are so heavy in their insults and so light in their content.

Winston Churchill said if you are not a liberal in your 20s you have no heart, and if you aren't a conservative in your 40s you have no brain.

Actually you have exibited Much angst against liberals in your posts on this subject. Even started out the the thread with a negative slap at liberals, I consider my self a liberal in some respects, but conservative in others. My political views are liberal, but my views on some things, like finance for example are conservative, I see liberals as being people oriented while conservatives are property oriented. Although I'd like to be debt free and have all my property secured, I still have a feel for my fellow man, something I really don't see coming accross with conservatives. Their view on that subject is more like leave me alone, and your problems are yours, so don't expect any help from me, real individualists. Their only friends are other conservatives as exibited by all those teabagger rallys. BTW is there no content in this post?

I LOVE this thread! Man ya'll sure know how to make them Libbies squirm in their panties! I love the way you just make small little observations about them and it just ruins their whole day! Ha/ha. . . silly Libbies. They just can't face the truth that they've never grown-up or that they still have growing-up to do. Ha/ha. . . they really are just a bunch of underdog losers.

And conservatives are more likely to be extremely religious and prone to conspericy theories. And conservatives are only happy if they are insulated inside their little bubble where no one different can come too close and as long as their ideals are not challenged... and if they don't have to take any post secondary education.

Rick, we have already established your argumentative skills are sub-par and that your logically retarded.
Please stop posting complete crap and go back to smoking and growing weed.

You should also know that either proven or proved is correct - my spell check doesn't like proven so I use proved. Before you try to be a smart ass, make sure you aren't going to wind up looking like a dumb ass. Just a suggestion. You are wrong. The error you have committed is an extremely common grammatical error. As to looking like a dumb ass, I am not the one making general statements about a whole entire political party or stating that an argument does not need to be supported to be valid. There are also a ton of other grammatical errors in your previous post. ad hominem?

Now do some truth diagrams for us and prove your point. I want to see you diagram an argument and prove the use of a straw man fallacy. If you do not know how to type the logic symbols you should do it on paper and then take a picture or scan it.
