blue mystic rough start

I'm just starting my second grow. I ordered blue mystic seeds from nirvana and i'm using soil mix and cfl's to make it happen. I'm poor so I'm keeping it simple. I got the seeds on 11-2 and germed them right away. Then I dropped them in some peat pellets in a humidity dome until they sprouted and then transferred them into soil. Yesterday I added a new light, painted the grow box white, and added a co2 mix into the grow area. This morning The plants look like shit. I'm not sure what did it but something is going on.

Here are some pics. The last one is my plant finishing up.

This is some bagseed i grew that has about another 2 weeks left until harvest.

what soil are you using? looks like nute burn to me. i grew blue mystic, it is a hardy plant, it can make it. did you break the lining open around the peat pellet?

I'm using miracle grow organic soil. I didn't break the lining on the pellets but i did everything the same for my last grow and it worked out well. I haven't used any nutrients yet just some water. I was wondering about it being heat related or something like that. I had 3 100w (equivalent) cfl's about 2 inches from them and wasn't sure if that was too much for a small plant.

that may be to much light for such a young one. with the soil you are using i'll take back the nute burn comment above. if you get the chance try the rapid rooters instead of the peat pucks, i think they are the best thing since sliced bread. good luck :peace:

I got rid of one of the lights and backed them up. I also moved my fan closer to get the air moving better. Now it's just a waiting game i guess

drop the lights bck down asap(2-3 inches away) unless you want it to stretch even more than it already has. you dont need to do anything with the peat pucks, just put em right into the soil. never ever had a problem with it, and your more likely to hurt the roots trying to get the covering off. and stop misting during lights on and you'll be fine. your burning the leaves to death. think about how sunburn occurs alot faster/worse if your in water/swimming/wet, itd the same thing for plants. dont take away the other light, add more.

nothing magically healed last night. they do seem to still be responding to the light though by leaning towards it ( i have the lights at an angle to them).

fans strengthen stems just so ya know, but anyways-dont expect a miracle overnight heal, it takes some time sometimes, lol, and those parts probally wont heal very well, are you still misting it? you shouldnt imo

Misting is a good idea during vegetative stage. It is just not a good idea to mist heavily during light period unless you have some means to dry the leaves before they get burn. Do you check soil pH and the pH of your water regularly? Also what is the moisture level of your soil? Remember it should be close to dry on top, moist in the middle part and close to wet or wet at the bottom (not too wet tho). Also good luck with your grow.

how's your baby looking today?
They look like they're starting to grow a little again. I think they went into shock for a couple days, i'm not sure what caused it but i think they'll pulll through

i'm running them 24/0 using cfl's so there's no dark period. any misting i did would have to be during light hours. I do not check ph, i used the same soil and water for my last grow and it turned out ok. the test strips for ph tests are pretty cheap tho so i might start doing that.

These pics were taken this morning. I compared them to ones i took the past two days in the morning and it looks like they've begun to grow again.
