Plastic Micro Grow Room boxes

Hi everyone, very new to the forum but i've been lurking for a while, getting ideas on how to do everything with my grow!

I hope this is the right place to ask this and i'm also posting this across a few different boards to try and get everyones feedback/ideas.

Now what it is, as you may guess from the title, Plastic micro grow room boxes, with my grow i made my box out of wood and everything works good...which got me thinking about making it all better and lead me to plastic boxes. Through certain contacts i would be able to get boxes made up out of plastic which would be heat resistant, light weight, white on the inside and black on the outside. As i am fully aware you are able to buy grow tents which would do the job but would stand out a bit in the way of stealth...

So the question i have, if i was to get plastic grow boxes made, would anyone be interested in them? If so what sizes would people more want I.e something small to hide or more "closet" size? and then finally what prices would you pay? the idea will be to offer them as cheap as possible.

Of course if this all went ahead i would be offering you all a discount!

I think I would think of sizes that would be easy to break down etc.... Maybe a 2X2X4, consisting of (2) 2X2X2 cubes. You could put fixtures in for CFLs, or small HPS/MH. Computer fans for intake and exhaust........
I would probably fcus on price in the begining. Make a grow box that is ready to go for $100, $150, $200 max. If they are cheap people will buy. I have been thinking about doing many small grows, Almost like a "locker" from school or whatever system. Just go down, the line, and fix them up...............

Thanks for all the replies! the wooden box that i build is 2ft long,2ft tall and 1ft deep which is what i was thinking of basing the first box on, obviously the whole idea behind the boxes is for micro grows, so its trying to come up with a range of sizes that fit within the micro grow logic, I'd imagine on the of the smaller sizes would be a PC case size, either keeping it retangular or even making it square aswell. With lighting i was thinking of leaving a couple of holes on the top that would allow you to drop some chains down, either by keeping a hook on the inside or having it on the outside... As mentioned before, the boxes would be white on the inside so it would be all good for reflecting right from the start :)

So let me know any more sizes you reckon, i've started knocking some designs up in google sketchup which im gona see how much its going to cost to build it up and see how much i can offer them for :) it's going to look the part :) got things sourced for boxing it all up aswell haha :)

Hey all! hope you had a good xmas,

With my grow box ideas i have had a slight change to the idea due to the changes im looking at doing with my wooden box. Currently i was doing a soil grow but as my plants have all turned out to be males its time for my second grow attempt, which has led me to trying something new, Deep Water Cultivation (DWC). As i am wanting to use the box i made i'm trying to find a decent size tub/box that will go inside my box but nothing seems to fit so i'm going to get one made up to slot in. This is where it leads to my updated idea.... DWC Grow boxes, Various sizes, Bottom 3rd (roughly) would be a water proof/leak proof container, top part would then be the standard grow box part that would open up so you can get to the plants...

Has anyone got any views on this? :)
