decide to ditch the soil and go with ebb n flow ive done aero/nft didnt like it roots would always get to big for my two inch netted pots everytime i took a peek at roots i would jack up all my roots trying to get them back into pvc, i know i could have upgraded to 3inch or 4 inch but id rather do edd n flow so i can look at roots whenever and not worrry about desrtoying them. so what do i all need?? will hydrofarm have everything, im thinking 4 4/8 ft drain table with 4 resivoirs 4pumps and fittings is this all i need?? where do the roots go they just dangle in the table right?? do i need some kind of special matt for the roots?? i have lights, nutes , and co2 pretty much everything i need. oh yeah wat is a good medium for flood n drain??

You said everything, except you might want to put a smaller pump in the reservoir just to recirculate the water with. No tubing or timers, just throw it in there and have it run all the time.
You could pretty much use any medium you want. I have hydroton right now, but have been thinking about making the switch to coco. Just get some pots, probably 5"x5" or 6"x6" depending on your grow, and throw whatever medium you want in there.

I use a 4x8 flood table. I just take my clones and but them in a 5in rw cube with a coco mat on the bottom once the roots grow out of the cube they grow under the mat to protect then from light. The downside to my methoud is you cant move the plants around
