How many can you actually grow?

I have recently been looking into california's medicinal marijana laws concering growing. I noticed in some counties you can grow up to 99 and some only 6. But i noticed a few cities (maybe even a county, cant remeber) have no limits. So my questions are, 1) in cities without limits, can you actually grow as many plants as you want? 2) growing in a county with a set limit, is it illegal to grow over the limit? (Assuming you have a medical card)

Ok thanks, does anyone know how often, if at all, they regulate and actually check to make sure your not growing over the limit? And if you were growing over the limit, can you get in trouble or do they just take the excess?

As of last Tuesday the high court struck down the limitations on the amount you can possess or grow. The supreme court had already struck it down last year.

In a collective, you basically grow for all of the people in the collective, so if you had 10 people in your collective, you could grow 60 plants(well even more now I suppose, thanks to the court decision h.h mentioned). Then you give weed to the people in the collective, and they are allowed to compensate you for your time and work.

How would I go about starting a collective? Is their some legal document that I need the people that I am growing for to sign?

You got to love Cali law. In Tx 1 plant get you damn near the chair. Joking... But i was really considering relocating out west. Love it out there...

I believe you can make your own sign-up documents, basically something saying that the weed is for their use only, and that they won't sale it, or use it w/ anyone else. And keep records of when their recommendations expire.

Thanks a lot for the info man! I have been wondering about this for some time now so sorry for all the questions. I just want to stay legit. Do you know of any good links that would help me out anymore on starting a collective?

I was watching a show on plants being legal to grow in certain areas of cali, there is a limit though. The cops dont care if you have the limit, but the goverment does care. (I learned this watching the show Marijnana Inc. was some documentary).

Anyone heard of the Emeral Triangle?

Marijuana is legal to grow in all of Califronia, if you have a reccomendation from a dr. The emerald triangle is 3 adjacent counties in CA: mendocino, humboldt, and trinity...they have(had) some of the most generous limits on how many plants you can grow.
