Well peat moss is ok for starting, but eventually you are going to need some nutrients for the plants to flourish.

All always say plan ahead before you start you grow and buy two of everything

Do you have any pics of your seedlings? I'm pretty much doing the same thing right now, I have a mix of about 90% peat moss and the rest is miracle grow organic garden soil.

I have germed the seeds already and they all went into the soil yesterday afternoon. They're all bagseed that I have in this mix, so it's kinda a possible beneficial low cost experiment for me.

but im putting nutes in every time i water isnt that enough?
Well you know what

I am not 100% sure about that. I guess if someone can grow a plant in 100% perlite you could use 100% peat moss.

But dirt at home depot and lowes is not expensive

I would definitely suggest Miracle Gro organic soil. (I only say that because you said cheep)

It definitely isn't recommended but if that is all you available then go for it.

There is no need for the sand

...welp, I'd suggest in your situation is to use this. 1/3 petemoss, 1/3 perlite, 1/3 course sand.
...the perlite is important in order to get oxygen to your roots, petemoss is very, very easy to overwater. Petemoss retains water so well that it will create alot of problem for you (potentially) including fungi nats, fertlizer lockout, ph issues...exc....all of which can kill plants.
...you should use the course sand, NOT PLAY SAND! ...use the sand that is in the concrete section.

Check out my video on YouTube 'Outdoor Grow - Organic compost for Cannabis . I personally used around 75% organic compost straight from my backyard and like 25 percent vermiculite. There's this park by my house that i go to often and there is always a ton of geese shit everywhere, so today i took a garbage bag and filled it with like 5 pounds of shit, I'm gonna let it dry and brew it into a tea, whenever i feel like feeding the plants again with it I can just go back and get more, This is perfect since i don't have enough money to buy good fertilizer for 10 plants, Check out the picture

if you want the cheapest soil with best results, go to the woods and fill buckets up with black top soil. I did that for my first grow and got really nice plants. Would advice adding some vermiculite to the soil though for aeration and drainage.
