Why did my growth slow after transplanting from cups?

Hi guys. New grower here.

Simple question. I recently transplanted 2 clones from cups to 6"x 6" containers. They are about 8 inches high, and 8 inches around. Looking really good. The thing is.... it has been about 2 weeks and I have not noticed any growth. When they were in the cups I noticed more height everyday, and had to water them everyday.

Any reason for this?

They look fine. No drooping. As soon as I put them in the new containers I soaked them( from what I know that's what I was suppose to do). So I haven't watered them in 2 weeks either. Also they are under 3- 40 watt fluorescent tubes.

Any advise or tips would help. Thanks.

cannabis plants take time to recover from the shock of transplanting to start showing new growth and if you have transplanted them carefully without any root damage in the process then they should take around 7-10 days to show new growth but if you have damaged any roots when transplanting the it may take 2+ weeks for them to recover.

That actually makes sense. Thanks. I can't see how I could have damaged the roots though. I just took them out of the cup and put them right in the new soil.

did you remove the whole content of the cup (roots and soil together)

like this pic of my transplant method.
soil and roots are all moist and stuck together ready to drop in to a bigger pot.

Yes. The roots weren't that thick(coming from cups) but I left them in tact. I don't think I even touched them, lol. I plan on flowering these plants when they are small(under 3 feet). What do you think is the a good height to start flowering so I can keep them in these 6' x 6' pots?
