Wow, I was pretty stoned last night when i wrote that and I had meant to add some more, but glad i didn't. I called another friend of mine today who grows and enjoys sativas more than i do for some advice/memory recall. I has to ask what it was that he grew that reminded me of Kali Mist. For some reason or another (i swear the pot had NOTHING to do with it! LOL) i couldn't remember what strain it was to save my life.
So anyhow, I'm a big fan of Jack Herer, and i knew it was close to that. So after calling my friend at 6am, he reveils to me that the strain i was thinking of was Super Silver Haze from Mr. Nice; which he grows in his garden. Very fine smoke indeed from what memory serves me. I'll be heading over to his place this weekend for a smokeout and will take some notes.
Anyhow, since my friend is bigger guru on sativas than me, i asked what he thought was close to Kali Mist, since he said he hasn't smoked Satori. He also added in others he has grown that seemed to fit the bill. So here's his list:
Super Silver Haze - Mr. Nice
Nevilles Haze - Mr. Nice
Sugar Haze - Seedsman
S.A.G.E. -n- Sour - TH Seeds (He did mention that he had a bunch of different phenos on the first run from seed though)
Killing Fields - Sannies Seeds
Lady Cane - from Sannies he said.
Willy Nelson - Reeferman
Now of the above mentioned strains, I've smoked: SSH, Lady Cane and Willy Nelson. Been quite awhile since the Lady and Willy blazed my brain, but if they were bad, I'd remember it. I've never once doubted my friends opinions on Sativas at all, and i look forward to trying a few of these out myself.
My friend also said he'll be trying out a couple of Subcool/TGA strains later this year since they seemed to use strains that Bros. Gimm used to carry and his brother loved them. Should be a great experience for the 2 of us since he likes the sativas and i usually prefer the indicas. We'll have to smokeout when those girls grow up.
Hopefully this helps someone out. Not totally first hand from me, but I think it's of worthy note.
