northern cal u say, how much did it run uDon't know if that seed company is responsible for the Blackberry floating around Northern CA but if it's the same shit it is some damn dank smoke. The last time I smoked Blackberry, I was also pretty buzzed on good beer, the woman at Albertsons asked me if I was OK, and told me it looked like my eyes were bleeding
Really heady smoke, smell wasn't too overpowering, maybe more on the florally side with some undertones of dankness. Taste was smooth and more dank than floral, earthy with a hashy quality on the exhale. Potency was exceptional, really knocks you out of reality.
I'd give her a solid 9.25 and thats pretty damn good for my scale.
Picture is photoshopped. I've seen it at a couple different bay area clubs and it doesn't look anything like that. What do you guys think bout Sativa's Seeds Black Berry?
is it as good as advertised?
so the original strain comes from hawaii? That is not the original black berry strain... If you were local i would hook you up with some clones of the "real blackberry" but oh well. Mine has an odor that can only be matched by smashing a real blackberry in your hand and sticking it up your nose. Leaves dont turn purple but the buds do and its so pretty. Lemme know if ya'll want pics

looks awesome and thats a great story... i think its rad u kept it going all these years! This strain was brought to hawaii in 1984 when my family moved here, i have no idea what the main genetics are. My uncle went to amsterdam in the early eightys. Brought this to hawaii with him. Thanks to cloning we have managed to keep this strain un altered and just as berry as ever. Next time your on vacation on the big island lemme know we can sample it for ya all.

I grew Nirvana's 'Blackberry' this year outside in Puna. Very ,very unstable, all hermie, plus all the plant came down with 'Powdery Mildew' too. I'll never use Nirvana's version of it again! Plus, did I mention buds were on the airy side of things too!!!!looks awesome and thats a great story... i think its rad u kept it going all these years!
they look similar and not many plants have that kind of coloring... i wonder if they have similar genetics?

picture is of Blackberry strain grown outside in lower Puna. She got to be around 9 ft high before rain & winds brought her down!!
He also mentioned that the Blackberry he works with is a Blueberry x Afghani cross. Seems like there's lots of similar names floating out there for different strains.I have the original blueberry from DJ's work. she has been in the Oregon hills for decades now but I have only had her a few years. she is the grandma of the other strains I work with: Shishkaberry, Blackberry and Northernberry.
Blackberry pure is weak weed, nice colours and lovely taste, but it is not strong pot at all. From what I have heard, the original Blackberry is a cross utilizing the DJ Short Blueberry genetics. A West Coast development. Taken from a fellow poster from a different board who is very credible:

hey, any chance you have any spare seeds you can sell or give away ?That is not the original black berry strain... same thing huh? i didnt know that...Blackberry pure is weak weed, nice colours and lovely taste, but it is not strong pot at all.
Oh, and Sativa Seedbank IS Nirvana...
Peace, HHF
I beg to differ. The Blackberry strain in the MMJ community here is quite an ass kicker. Like I said though, seems there's a lot of different strains out there with similar names or knockoff strains without original genetics.Blackberry pure is weak weed, nice colours and lovely taste, but it is not strong pot at all.
