I'm about to start my first micro grow with a RubberMaid setup.

I've just about got the veg tub done and hopefully start veg this weekend. It's just an 18gal tub I'm using for veg, with 312watts (21,000 lumens) and 6500K CFLs

However I will be upgrading to a 30+gal and 2700K for flowering after 2-4 weeks. This is the first indoor run I'll be doing by myself so really this first run is just for experience and tweaking my setup.

My primary concern in getting everything up and running for this weekend is ventilation and keeping my temps in a good range.

Hopefully I'll have pics up by the first of next week. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's designs and seeing just exactly how under estimated CFLs and micro grows are. I know with some fine tuning on a setup and adequate knowledge you can pull yields that most people wouldn't believe a CFL setup was capable of

First grow was 1 oz 1 plant Not 10.

Thought it kindof looked weird.

The max Ive seen pulled outta the maids is between 4 and 5 ozs

Seems like a overload of watts and heat for a veg cab. Especially a 18 gal

My veg cab is 31 gallons and I only use 3 42w 6500k bulbs. My temps are 3 degrees above ambient temps.

Post some pics of your veg cab. Cause i dont think a computer fan or 2 for that matter will cool that. You could run into a lot of problems.

I find the plants can take the heat alot better in flower than veg

Wont be in the 18gal but for the first week or two and I so far the heat hasn't gotten over 84F.

The reason for the setup is I've designed it for scrog

damn kntrl, i cant post my shit up here.. you guys look like professionals and making my rubbermaid look real fresh.. like fresh as in new and not good.. yet! yet is the key word... when i get all my shit together, i will post... i still have about a month and a month and a half till i flower anyways... i gotta get some paint, wiring together, a bunch of shit, but like i said, i will post it when i do get them together.. i do have a quick question, i am using 2 rubbermaids stacked, i am gonna let my top of the plants come up to where the rubbermaids will meet... my lights will have an adjustable height, so im not worried about that, what i am wondering is when you water, i guess you would either have to take off the top half completely, or get a tube connected to a funnel and feed with the top top off... i guess i'll figure it out when i get there... i hope i am makng a lil sense...

do you guys consider rubbermaid to be micro or average size grow? its def. bigger than my last micro, but not super big... lets just call them average grows...lol... agreed?

its easy to just lift the top off to water. i do it everyday just to check for bugs. its no micro grow, you can get some pretty big rubbermaids. mine are only 18gal. i think they go up to 32.

damn.. yeah i think mine are about the size of yours... i'll measure them and find out... it looks like you painted the inside of yours floridasucks.. did you use spraypaint or brush paint?

mine have a sticker on the side that says the size. yea i used spraypaint but i only had like half a can so its peeling off in some places.. once this plant finishes im gonna repaint the inside.
