if you really wanted to, you could clone that one sticking out, but I would wait a little longer
i would say its a good time to take some clones, some say the minimum is about 4 week old, but im sure you could do it earlier
Thanks for the quick replies!! I'm going to be getting the last of the supplies for a clone tub this week. I would like to get at least 4 clones since thats all my tub will probably hold. Right now I can probably only get 2 from her. I meant to take some pics of the tub but I didn't maybe tomorrow.

Well I didn't feel like going to work and welding while I couldn't breath and had to blow my nose every 5 min. I hate being sick.:finger:

So here are some pics of the tub I'll be using to clone. I need to get some baskets to hold the clones, a new air stone or 2, and I think I'll probably get a new pump. Since the one I have is pretty old.

I don't think I'll need it to hold 500 kgs.

I though I'd show were my temp and RH have been. They stay pretty consistent.

Damn, cph!!! That is a nice tub. I must ask, where'd ya get it?
It was a donation from work. We use them to ships smaller parts to a few customers. We have those and 1 that is the same depth and 2x as wide. It's 12w x 16l x 7d. I figure it will hold 2 gal of water and 4 maybe 6 clones. Got any suggestions?

Hey hey, my man. I'm the one you need to be talking to, LOL!

That tub is damn near exactly the same dimensions as mine (16x10.75x7H).

My tubs are all 3 gallon which leaves room for just about a 2 gallon reservoir. AND I am running four to six clones per tub. I admit it's a bit more work keeping an eye on solution levels, but on the plus side I don't waste too much of my nutrients (saving $$$) when I do a rez change.

I have zero pH flux so long as I stay away from the tent under the influence of alcohol (lesson learned by mixing a batch of 2850ppm bloom nutes, killing Emerald and seriously stunting Violet in the process).

Anyway... all in all I feel like I would be doing just as much, or more work than I would with soil and I get the benefits of hydro. So until I find the perfect tub for my tent, I'm going to stick with what I have.

I think it's worth a shot, my man. And I'm always here to help.:bigjoint:

Dude CPH that tub is freaking sweet man! I wish I could get my hands on some tubs like that, would make my life a LOT easier than using foil tape or spray paint. haha

Ladies are looking a lot better my friend! Keep up the good work!

I thought so!;-)

Yours looked bigger to me, but thats cool I can go with your design more than I thought. Are you happy with the 1 air stone? I've been thinking about using 2.

And I'm all about saving money. I was going to check and see how much water it would hold when I found the energy. I hate being sick and haven't had my head on straight in a few days..

I'll try to remember to avoid the Heineken when mixing nutes.

What do you have in your res to start your clones? I was talking with skunk and he uses superthrive to start. Seems easy.

If your tubs are the same size maybe I will flower in it. I'll just have to get some hydro nutes. Are they neccesary in this kind of setup or will regular ones work? I think I read that the hydro nutes are to avoid cloging tubes and whatnot but I'm not pumping the water just air.

I appreciate the help!!

ya i think it would work!
We'll be finding out in the next week or so. Stay tuned, and medicated!!:eyesmoke:

One works just fine. But if you want to use two, go ahead, it surely won't hurt.

To start my clones I use my nutrients (GH Flora series) at half their recommended clone/seedling strength. Also a little pH down to correct the pH.

And yes, you should get hydro nutes. They have pH buffers and whatnot that you won't find in soil nutes. You can get all 3 (Gro, Micro, Bloom) for about $35-$45 depending on where you get them.

Thanks for the input Diggity!!

All is going well in the room, I think by Sunday we'll be looking at pics of my freshly cut PJ clones.

Just be sure to have at least 1/2 an inch of the cuttings submerged in the reservoir otherwise the bottoms will dry out and you will have dead clones.

So be sure your cuttings are large enough to reach!
