ima newbie doing attic grow

hi guys ,
ive recently decided to grow 3 plants as a hobbie and a bit of smoke of courseive ordered 5 orange bud feminized,a 400 watt hps lamp,which i have set up in my atticki have maid a tent using exsisting rafters ,it is 5ft wide 2 ft deep and about 6 ft high at its highest,it is a triangle shape!iv ecovered it with white plastic sheeting on the outside and hav covered the inside with tinfoil.the tempature in the attick is about 15degrees celcius,so i hav a heater that will bring the room to about 20 degrees,i also have a fan for air movement>>>>im waiting on my seeds at d mo,so any help or comments would be great!!!

imo get rid of the TIN FOIL, but if you really want to use this, use the dull side not the mirror side!
IM an attic man with sort of the same setup with regards to the triangle shape & im using 600w hps.
What nutes are you using?

Agree with the previous poster about the tinfoil. you could be doing more harm then good. Plants love light, but getting blasted with burning hot reflections of it, not so much

u can go to an outdoors store ,ie Academy and buy a emergency blanket for cheep and it werks gr8

agreed. ive seen this on a couple of different people's pages asking about good reflective material, and i think i saw someone say that the emergency blanket was under 5 bucks at walmart, good luck

I am thinking about using aluminum foil then white paper. The aluminum foil will stop the light from going all the way through, and stop light coming in. Then the white paper would be on the inside. Would that be better than just aluminum foil?

growing in attic might be a bad idea considering i heard storeid about choopers useing infrared for heat siginatures in houses for grow opps if its put in the basment or another foor the heat signature will not be a sstrong yet im not sure if thats a liable reason for them to get a warrant but who knows.

Attic will be the hottest place to grow in the summer.I agree strongly on getting rid of the foil.They have gift wrap at the dollar store or wal mart that looks like mylar.

tanx for the repliys guys!unfortunatley they do not sell mylar in ireland ive looked everywhere!if i turn the tinfoil matt side up will that do?have just purchased snow white feminized seeds from nirvana ...any comments?
