Can flushing kill a plant?

Hey there. One of my plants has some nute burn, so I need to flush it. I've always read that over watering is one of the biggest causes of death though... So, can flushing kill a plant even if the pot has a draining hole?

anything is possible.. just run water 5x the size of the pot ( 1 gal pot needs at least 5 gallons) due this over another bucket or sink let all excess water drain out

make sure you have holes punched in your bottom of the bucket and just drain them good. I put my buckets on top of a few sticks so the bottom is off the floor/ground and let the water run

you can become defishant. good drainage= no over watering

Overwatering is typically caused my watering too much too often, not proper heavy waterings. Everytime I water I water enough for a significant amount to run out the bottom of the pots. This ensures that the entire medium is saturated, and then I wait for the medium to dry out a bit before watering again. You should have no issues with flushing (as long as you drain properly as others have mentioned)
