You could clone the top of her now if you wanted to
Are you going to be rooting the clone and then flowering it to determine the sex?

yes, i just need to determine the sex. This is my first time growing i have never done this before i understand how to clone but, what is the best way. I have heard you can put your clone and water and it will begin to root. I was going to use this method seeing as I am using a DWC system for my grow. Should I take 1 or 2 clones off the top ?

no NO dont take off the TOP>>>>>>>>>>>>>clones root better from cutting s taken from bottom chemical balance of some sort which bottom cuttins have better "" "" something for roots....i do know that i am some on who has tried the cutting and putting in water ......never worked for me NOW i use a cloner sytem thats constantly spays the cutting under where the cut was taken and have never looked back ROOT in like 5-6 days crazy wish i woulda known coulda saved me a strain and TIME.......i know how u feel learning .best way to clone i think is take cut from bottom good lenght trim new growth off gently scrape all around stem peeling thin layer only cut once again and kinda slice ent where cut is alot so it looks open dip in OLIVIAS CLONING GEL AND put in cloner check in 5 day and get ready to neverstop growing like advise PLEASE +REP>.......BYE

so i should cut it, dip it in the cloning compound, and then stick it in the cloner ? I have heard a lot of people say to take off the top, you have had experience in taking cuttings from the bottom?

You should take the clone from the bottom as the previous poster stated. The bottom branches are easier to clone in my experience. From all the reading I have done cuttings from the top take longer to root or will not root. Good luck but he or she gave you good advice. Myself i use a diy cloner and no gel and get roots 95% of the time.

what exactly is a diy cloner?

when cutting cut at 45 degree angle to maximize surface area for you gel. u can also clone from a single leaf.

You are wrong sir the plant needs a node to grow up from
The leaf has no nodes therefore it won't grow
You can root a leaf it just won't grow at all
Please stop giving out made up info please
