Those are beautiful. What's giving the root that pinkish tint towards the top?
Since you can grow 6 full size plants in a 8 gal, why would you use a 31 gal? Man, that's a lot of work to maintain.I've decided to go with a kind of hybrid Aeroponic/Bubbleponics kit I'm gonna make. I'm gonna use a Rubbermaid Roughneck 31 gallon for the reservoir (I picked up an extra one to make cleaning easier). Everything seems to be coming together really well. I honestly don't think I could have done it without you guys and the nice folks down at Nuggetry SD. I will be starting a grow journal soon... once all my equipment arrives and will make sure to keep you guys updated.
Dude not, trying to be the downer but, don't you find it a tad suspicious the guy at the grow shop trying to sell you the bigger res, which will require more nutrients which will require more trips back to their store on your first grow. Buying more nutrients when you'd probably only need half as much through your entire grow... Putting more money in their pocket.I wanted something bigger than the SH kit and was stuck trying to decide between the 14gal and 31gal Roughneck tubs. I spoke to the guys at Nuggetry SD, where I'm enrolled in their grow class, and they both suggested the 31gal tub. The owner Nuggs even gave me a link to a DIY on his forum, HydroCanna.com, that uses the exact same tub so it works out pretty well. He's already built one of these and has the tools and knowledge necessary. The instructions say to fully submerse the pump. I think the rest of the overhead is to allow the net pots to hang down and the sprayers to do their thing. The tub won't be full, probably closer to half full so it shouldn't be too hard to manage. I'm also gonna get a 4-port air pump and four 12" air stones to go in the bottom. The width of the unit is just big enough to lay 12" air stones in there.
It's worth a lot actually! I almost feel like I alienated myself on here when I said I was returning the SH kit lol. Some people may not understand my reasoning behind it but that's alright and obviously you get it. I'm always gonna be straight up with everyone though, so it's nice to get some positive feedback and support on what I'm trying to do.For what it is worth, I wish I would have gone your route my first time through. Instead I went with the SH kit. Great kit, great company, perfect for begginners or learning. Not knocking it in ANY way, in fact I love it. But, that said, this SH kit is TINY. Super small, and somewhat flimsy top ( I was warned before hand I need a super rigid, tough lid to support the heavy plants and big yields I am after). I only have two plants in there now, they barely have any room, had to stop veg earlier then I would have liked, and now have plants so heavy the are bending and warping my res and the lid.
A little more room, and a more rigid lid would be real nice things to have. The extra nutes, or moving the extra amount of water would really be a non-issue. Next grow will either be in indiviual 5 gallon style buckets, or in an ebb and grow system. Leaning towards E&G.
But this kit has allowed me to learn and experiment with hydro. Allowed me to get a better understanding of what is needed and how it all works. And was super cheap and easy to get it all started. It really is a great starter kit, and that is exactly what I am, and what I needed.
Ok, back to the ganj.

I find myself spending an alarming amount of money on medicine right now. I had planned on eventually growing, but this realization kind of sped up the process. I was initially gonna go stealth setup because of the apartment I live in but I don't think that'll be an issue anymore so I decided to go a little bigger. I'm just hoping I can manage it.
I currently am waiting for the 6 planter bubbletonics with dual spectrum II.
As i progress i will let you guys know the system does let alone myself, being
a first timer. Stay posted, Peace bros.
Good luck with it. Hopefully you come over and post up on the Bubbleponics threads. Bunch of us bubbleheads over there, all more then willing to help if you need !I currently am waiting for the 6 planter bubbletonics with dual spectrum II.

Well, I quit pussy footing around and I bought the Stealth Hydro Dual Spectrum bubbleponics system. I am so glad I did. My friend has spent two months and $100 trying to build and duplicate his own system, and he doesn't even have the round holes drilled yet. He doesn't get the premeasured nutrients or the FREE advise either. I got everything I needed including even the extension cords.I started with hybrid skunk seed and in 4 weeks I had plants about 18 inches tall, but they are the bushiest plants I or anyone has ever seen. I had to raise the lights an inch higher every day. EVERY DAY ! The base of the main trunk of the plants were as big as a quarter (the coin) and I just never imagined they could grow so fast and thick. After 4 weeks and 5 days, I started the flowering process and after 9 weeks, I have buds galore. I highly recommend it. The lights are perfect the nutes are perfect, and you can not get better results.
Hey i posted a couple questions roseman thanks! but i got my setup today they i order the duel spectrum bundle with 65 watts and extra cubes and hydrometer, but they forgot the nutrients and ph controll, called them and within 10 mins the problem was fixed, and revieved and e-mail a half hour later, with the order info with
