Grow cabinets blueprint

Hello everyone. I am planning on building two grow cabinets, one for veg/clone/mom and one for flowering. I will be using DWC hydro and for lighting a 400w HPS in the flowering room and a blue T5 setup for the veg cabinet.

I am using these cabinets:

How does my plan look? Any suggestions or criticism?

Thanks for the help :joint:

I can't find a reflector that's small enough to fit in my closet. It needs to be smaller than 26"x14".

Uh... You're much more experienced than I am Tom, but my last grow stank in veg stage. Half my house smelled like fresh om nom, especially in the later stages of veg. It depends on your plants and on your setup definitely, but the OP may find it necessary to use a filter. It only costs about $5 to make one anyway. I wouldn't rule it out just yet, at any rate.

Other than that, looks like a good setup, rt5. I can only see an outtake fan on the top of your grow. I don't know if you plan to incorporate an intake fan somewhere on the bottom, but I certainly would. An HPS grow will really want great airflow, and lots of fresh cool air will be a must.

Thanks for the suggestions tom__420 and FireOwl. I'm gonna go with a carbon filter for the veg just to be safe, because I live in an apartment and even if it smells a little bit, I could get screwed.

I was planning to use passive intakes at the bottom of the closet. Would that be enough or does an intake fan really help? BTW I won't be running my fan on full speed, since I only have 15 ft3.

I got another question, has anyone run a fan through a speed control AND a CAP cooling thermostat? I'd like to control the temp and have the fan run only when it needs to.

Thanks. :blsmoke:

That looks good, but do you know anything cheaper? I don't need an air cooled reflector. If I can't find anything else small enough I'll buy that though, thanks. :)
