Trying to decide LED or 600 watt HPS

I have a 4x4x65 growing tent and can't decide if I should go with with 2 or may 3 of these:

NEW 90 Watt LED Hydroponic Grow Light UFO (2009 Model!)
Equivalent to 300 - 400 HPS / MH Grow lights

or a 600 watt HPS. Which one would I get better results from? Also use coco for medium if that makes any difference. Any advice is welcome.

well HPS is a safe bet, LEDs are kindof really inconsistently priced, and HPS's produce far more spectra than the LEDs are capable of, resulting in healthier more balanced plants.

It's up to you, but having researched the differences myself, I would personally recommend the HPS by far and away.

thats what I was think too. I figured if I got 2 or 3 of the LED it would make-up the difference. With LED I don't have to worrie about heat and the black helicopter in the sky.. lol

True That. I own the mini caddy and 2-90 watt tri color leds 70 /10/10. easier to control humidity and heat. little less yield but a little quicker grow from my experience.

If you do buy a LED take a look at these guys

http://www.prosourceworldwide.com/category_s/42.htm

I found this guys thread which he was going to have great results but got mites in his plants near the end of the run check it out

And there are other people using LED's around here, I am also using a 180W UFO from prosource

I hope this helps

I have read in several places where they say LED lights are great for veg. growth, but lack the spectral luminosity of an HPS bulb to get fat juicy buds in the flower phase. Some good articles on LED's at maximumyield.com:joint::mrgreen:
