I am adding a link that should allow you to examine the photos and decide what you think could be the problem. I would start the process with a good flushing though, that is always a good place to start. I have had the same look before and the flushing usually seems to work at stopping the advance.

If you want to know your soil ph, they sell soil meters for $8.00. but i would still get a ph pen for your water.

Why are you removing the very unit that produces bud? Were the leaves yellow and unproductive?

If you're gonna grow, you should ALWAYS know the NPK values your plants are getting and understand the impact of each one of the macros.

I'm having what looks like the exact same problem on some of my plants. Was thinking about posting some pics and asking for opinions on it but it looks like you've done that for me.

What's puzzling as all hell for me is that it's only happening to about 20% of my plants. They're all in the same enclosed space, in the same soil and have all pretty much been feed and watered in the same fashion but yet this is only happening to some of the plants.

I have a heavier infestation of fungus nats this grow than I normaly do but I don't think they're the problem. I've checked the underside of the effected leaves over good with a loupe and haven't seen any signs of other bugs or any signs that this is caused by any bug problem (mites, aphids).

It's been 9 weeks since I started forcing and I'm guessing I've got around 2 weeks left until harvest. This problem started showing up slowly on some of the mid to upper fan leaves a month or so ago. But once again only on just a couple of the plants.

And even on the effected plants it seems to be confined to some of the fan leaves and has not gotten to the finer leaves in the buds themselves.

While at this point being I'm so close to harvest I don't think it's going to have to negative of an effect on my quality or yield it does indicate that something is not quite right with the plants health and I sure as hell would like to understand just what the causation of it is.

Being as my well water is so hard and alkaline I have been using water I get from the local WallMart's Culligan machine. Which as I understand it is just local city water that's been further processed thru RO.

I've just got a cheap soil ph meter but the soil the effected plants are in reads in the same range as that of the non effected plants.

Thanks for starting this thread I'll be paying close attention to it in hopes we may learn what it is that's causing this problem.

Just have one question - when growing in hydro (aeroponics) and you have either potassium, nitrogen, or any other defeciency - how do you correct that? I'm using General Hydroponics nutrients - flora grow, flora micro, and flora bloom. Are there different mixtures for taking care of these defencies? I see there are different mixtures for cloning/seed starting, veg, and flower - or is there something else you can get for these problems???

Hope all is well and that the wife's convalescence isn't causing you to much stress.

Haven't gotten my Mel Frank's book yet but it should be showing up any day now.

The current crop is so close to harvest that at this point it just is what it is but I'm really looking foreward to starting the next one with some of the knowledge I've gained from reading your posts (especially the soil mix and trimming for 4 main colas).

I've had 6 seeds going under shop flourescents (18/6) now for two weeks by way of an experiment and it's really been a great improvement in plant sturdiness over what I had been doing.

I'm noob... good airflow? lol. I was told its good to remove the lower stuff when you're vegging. most of them were yellow/dead yes, but not all :s

floranova grow is 7-4-10

and my last feed I did 7.5 ml of it in 4 gallons of water

plus 5 ml of floralicious plus in the 4 gallons of water. the water I let sit for 24-48 hours. and since I'm in soil i'm not really sure of the amount to feed. and I feed, then water, then water, repeat

What can I say. It's all about experience. Journalling helps.

That won't sustain leaves, too low in N.

Doesn't sound like too much of anything regarding plant nutrition. For starts, the floralicous plus is a rip. 2.8 - 0.08 - 0.02 Might as well be using straight water. Save your money on something that will do you some good.

If your using soil and you didn't put any lime in then you could be having mag def. Using the RO water strips all the Cal and Mag out of the water or maybe most of it. You will need to get some cal/mag or some people use salt but I would use the calmag.

And dude if your having repeated gnats you need to use some gnatrol. The problem with the gnats is the larvae burrow into the fine roots and eat you from the inside out.

But anyway try the cal/mag...
