Im growing just plain old bagseed and i was wondering how tall most bagseed tends to get? or is there no way to tell

itz up to you and your light LOL
veg untill your 1/3 your disired finishing hight, then flip to 12/12

so if i did that the plant will stay about the height that i changed light schedules at

Not necessarily. Sativa strains tend to get much taller in flowering. What he was telling you to do was playing it safe by only using 1/3 of your desired height space. This way even if it is a strain that likes to stretch during flowering you should still be ok towards the end of the flowering period.

alright but in the end i might have to use a net to stop the plant from hitting the light the space is only about 2 and a half feet
