this is my first grow i have them under 2 T12 fluorescents because the walls are white i didnt use any reflective wall liner. the plants are exactly 2 weeks old the paper clip was was used to hold the plant straight upward because it slouched over, i am using seeds from some reggi(regular) i wanted to get a feel before i start using serious bud, the tops are curent 8-10 inches from the light and are on 18/6. please leave comments what u guys think any suggestions i would apreciate it.

p.s i will be attending oaksterdamn in november, cant wait.

There is quite a bit of stretching, you may want to lower your lights.

I'm also running some t12 fluoros along with CFLs,
check out my grow (In my signature) if you'd like to see some examples on how close you can get etc.
My plants have grown so fast they even touch the lights at times without burning so that should give you an idea ;)

put ur light right over top th pl;ants .... 24/0 light schedulde .. u can start LIGHT feeding schedule now, and yes as perviously said .. get a fan man

Get that light right on top of those babies.. Within 1-2 inch of the top of the plants.. You will see a big difference in growth.. That's why you're stem is growing so long (stretching), it's reaching for the light..

That light really doesn't get that hot, so you don't have to worry about the plants getting to hot or burned.. I grew mine under a 4' foot shop light for about 2 weeks, keeping it about an inch and a half from the plants..

Lower your lights, add another 4' fixture once they get a bit bigger, and get an oscelating fan in the room.. Make sure it's on low though since your babies are still a bit fragile.. That's my suggestions...

yeah those lights produce like no heat, they can be like an inch above the tops with no problems. 8 inches though will cause stretching.

whats your plan for when they get bigger? cfls or are you going to get some HID light? other than the stretching they look decent.

Oh and another thing you might consider..

When you repot those babies, you can burry some of that long stem down under the soil... If you do that though, you probably want to get a bigger sized pot since the roots will be further down in the soil... Prolly something like 12 inches deep or more...

Thanx guys i have a fan its a little far because its so strong, it sits close to the window but it gets air to the plants

I was planing on getting 2 more sets of t12 fixtures when they get bigger. And when should i put them in a larget container. I was thinking of doing it soon because the one its in right now loks to small

The more light the better... You should probably transplant now.. Try to minimize the ammount of times you transplant.. I'd say go for a container that's 8-12 inches deep or more this time.. Then repot in a 5 gallon bucket...

thanks, im going to go look for a container to transplant. Im using soiles mix potting soil and im thinking of adding some perlite also but as far as nutrients go any suggestions. Some of the nurseries around here are amateur and i only see miracle grow fertalizer. Any input on specific brands or where else to look

I'm not really an expert on nutrients, but on a few outdoor grows I did, Fox Farms had some nice products.. If your soil doesn't have any nutrients in it, you're going to have to feed it some.. A general recommendation is 1/4 strength to begin with.. I'm not sure if you should add nutes to the soil now, or give the plant a week or two..

I'm actually new to indoor growing and newbily planted in MG.. So, i've got a skeptical soil and time released nutrients.. I'll be doing my final transplant in about a week and will be using a different soil, as well as adding some nutrients at that point.. Haven't yet decided on what kind of nutrients to get, but i'll let you know when I do VIA pm or i'll post it here...

I found some legit hydroponics stores near me but would they have nutrients for soil?? Il just check it out i guess, grow journal sounds good ill check it out
