So my first growlight has just turned up......:grin: And wow its bright


But I need some advise from some one... Is there anything I need to do till I can put it on 24/7 in a few weeks? It says plug in grow but I read some where once that something can stick together if turned on and left for the first time..Is this true?


But apart from that I am well happy just one more delivery to go which has most of the stuff I need to start growing and thats comin to day as well......Then just waiting on my seeds then which fingers crossed they should be here by next week..

well, i don't think it's good to have a grow light on 24/7, plants need to sleep sometime. i've never heard of a sticking problem before, make sure the bulb is clean before you put it in and turn it on.

Im going for an 18/6 when I start... Its I just read about new blubs can fuse together the first time they are left on for a longtime say 24/7 and being unable to remove the blub just wanted to know if anyone had ever had that happen to them plus its brand new and I dont want to have to send it back

then put it on for an hour first go and let it turn off if your worried then you can let your mind rest, I myself have only used a bulb for a maximum of 18 hours I have never had that problem bigbud.

what bulb did you get in the end?

it came with a Sylvania Grolux HPS lamp

Every thing else looks good so im now just waiting for my seeds to turn up

got an email to day to say my money had made it to the Netherlands it didnt take that long considering we had new year last week and I only ordered on the 27/12/06

So I hope it will be that fast comin back to me.

But then I dont think I will send money like that again have been thinking all week that some bloke in the netherlands has nicked it
and gone an had a free smoke on me..

nice bulb that will do you well for quite a while, keep it at least 18 inches away unless above seedlings when you want it quite a bit higher, you got msn?
