Exactly, weed is only a gateway drug because it's illegal, meaning you have to get it from a dealer who may or may not deal in harder shit, and may or may not turn you on to those things.

That's a good point, never really thought of it because my parents raised me not to think of marijuana as a drug like heroin or meth.
