Anyway, I think that the clones idea and new thread is a fantastic idea. The way Ive noticed people get stickys is all of the grow and everything is in one post. So you would have to take pics. Keep records and post all at once. Then it would be a sticky for sure! : )

Also I have a ?. On DWC...well Hydro in general. Now How big of a pot would I need to grow for 8 weeks,12/12 from seed in DWC with a 400w HPS.
Now the Net pots come in like 10inch,6inch,4inch and 3inch I think. But I was reading this one guys thread, and he said "alright the babies are transplanted into there final netpots to finish their grow" and they were only like the 6" netpots!??! WOuld that even support the plants? If so I could fit 8-10 freakin plants in my grow box. So any answers? : )

If I were to set up my DWC, I'd use 3" net pots in a 18 Gallon rubbermaid storage bin...possibly 6 net pots

Wish i could move to NC...but me and the Mrs are content in our house up here in CT...you guys should move up here! LoL...

Hey everyone...glad everyone's doing alright...

So, I took 5 clones from the mother plant and tossed her out...they're in these cool little propogation cups filled with gel...I'll get pics up later...they're under a humidity dome with 4 46watt 6500k cfls...once I see roots, I'll let em' veg for another week till I flower em' out. I'll keep another clone growing to become a mother under 18/6.

My 400 watt system should arrive tomorrow, so I'll go through the set up with you guys once it's here...

I'll be on time to time to check in on everyone...

DaC...you're on here too late for me...my old azz is in bed sleepin' when you're chattin' up a storm! LoL...

I also talked to the guy at the hyrdo store and he said that the rubbermaid containers will worp with water in them and try to turn into a circle? Anyone heard of that happing?

He might have just been trying to sell me their container,lol!

But I think that I want to get like 4 or 5 of the 1Gal. like round tea pitchers and put them in there.
Ill have to black out the outside so no lights get to the roots, But the spout will allow no drilling for the airhose and the opening at the top was exactly 6".
Perfect for the 6" net pots.

Yeah man, those rubbermaids will work wonders and he was trying to pull one over on ya...but those 1 gallon pots will work too...even a 3" net pot or 2" net pot will support a full grown plant...its the root system that makes up the plant size, not the netpot. only trouble is with having 5 of those 1 gallon containers, is that you'll have to either split the airtubing 5 times, or use 5 pumps for 5 containers...

IMO you're better off with 1 rubbermaid and (6) 3" netpots...only my $.02

well I already own a 18 gal rubbermaid. So I just cut like 4 or 6 holes in the top.

Fill with distilled water.

Add nutes and just add water with Nutes as the water goes down?

Ill let them grow in rockwool cubes for about a week then place in hydroton and let the water be about 1inch onto the netpots right?

Ill only be letting them grow for 60 days. So I should need to change the water in there right?

i started something very similar to this. I didn't germ my bag seed, instead experimented and placed it into MG potting soil and started with a week of 24 hours, it sprouted after day 3. Im using a 50 watt LED ufo light. Started with a 100 watt CFL just to get it started. Switched to 12/12 with the LED after week one. I'll let you know how it turns out. Looks great right now.

My friend, you've done your homework! You got everything down pat!

Its recommended to change H20 every two weeks.

But, as plants are older/bigger you may have to change them more often. Just keep your tds/ec/ph in check and you'll do great!

well If im useing pH balenced distilled water then pH balenced Nutes. I shouldint have to monitor the pH or the nutes right?

I was thinking Ill just add more as the water level falls? Thats gonna get $$ to change out 16-17 Gals of water and nute every 2 weeks. wouldint it?

Yeah, thats all you do...fill up your res and have a couple milk containers nearby to fill the res as the level lowers...bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

just got done smoking a FAT AZZ blunt of Swiss Cheese....:mrgreen:
