Hey to everyone stoppin by, I'm new here so take it easy on me. So im on my 1st medical grow, i have 6 plants i grew from seed that vegged for about two months and a month ago i picked up 2 clones from a buddy of mine that were freshly rooted, i vegged them for 3 weeks on 18/6 under a 400 mh and preflowers appeared? has anyone had an experience similar to this? these clones are growin like animals they're almost taller and almost twice as wide at 3 weeks than my 6 plants from seed are @ about 2 months old. im runnin a 400 watt mh/hps light in a 4x4x7 grow tent, pro-mix bx soil, and a wide varieties of humboldt nutes, and a 250 cfm exhaust fan that runs 24/7. Thanks to anyone who can give me an opinion or suggestion. peace 1

I'm sure you know by now that your plant will probably at least triple its size after entering 12/12, so let that dictate when you should flower. If you can wait, then do so and get a greater yield, but if you fear your grow area won't be able to accommodate a bigger plant, then throw it into flower.

Have you ever had a clone preflower after three weeks of 18/6? or heard of this happening? you're right I think the space issue is gonna force me to switch to 12/12, if i had a big enough room and a lot more watts id veg em for another month and turn em into some shrubs,

I've never grown with clones, I'm an extreme n00b grower, currently pursuing my 2nd harvest, so I couldn't help you with that.

Yeah but what i was wondering was why these two clones preflowered at three weeks from rooting under a 18/6 light schedule. i know that you can make them flower if you switch the lights to 12/12, but i had them on 18/6. So pretty much 5 weeks after they were cut from the mother plant they put out preflowers. 2 weeks to root and three weeks of straight vegging on a 18/6 light schedule.

Clones take on the traits of the mother plant including age so if you take a clone from a plant that already has flowers or preflowers then the clone can be ready to flower just as soon as it takes root.
what do your buddy's plant that you took it from look like, is it flowering?

you got it picture and/or textbook perfect man ... different strains different forms/structure/growth rates etc etc .... simply beautiful. If you have no height restrictions, I might even let them vege some more .... excellent work!!

maybe an auto strain? never dealt with one but i think they flower when their ready to? thus auto?

oh yeah! i'd flower now.

Im feelin the love, rollitup is the spot, been lookin for a minute and havent seen any haters yet(unlike some other mj forums ive been where all anyone wants to do is talk shit and act like they invented growing plants. I was thinkin autoflower too but i dont know for sure, my man told me they were "trainwreck" and i got 2 other clones off him and they're growin pretty strong too they're supposed to be arjans kush which to my knowledge doesnt exist but i could be wrong i know theres a strain called arjans ultra haze or somethin of that nature, some my early preflower clones could be some type of homemade hybrid? around where i live anything and everything goes. thanks for the comments i'll leave you with a couple updates and new editions. peace 1

pics 1&2 are my overloaded tent, 3&4 are of the clone thats supposedly arjans kush but who knows lots of tops anyway, 5&6 are the overheads of the preflowering twins from the original post, and the rest of them are of 1 plant that i grew from seed and its got some wicked fans on it, by the way i switched to 12/12 lastnight so we're about to see what happens. peace 1

It's not all unicorns and peace-dolphins here at rollitup, a lot of discussion here is nauseating. As with ANY internet discussion board, there is a small minority of loud mouthed, angry, immature people that insist on shitting on other peoples threads.

The good news is that Rollitup hosts some of the most talented and experienced marijuana growers that you will ever hear about. I mean that when I say it. There are a few legends here.

So don't give up and move to another site if someone comes and tells you that those plants look like they died a month ago and that their plants are twice as big at that same age, cause it'll probably happen soon enough.
