Aeroflo2 60 and LED Users! Help!

Hello everyone,

I started at grasscity and found that this forum could be way more resourceful for me. I currently have the following set-up.
Aeroflo60
TriMeter
2 UFO LEDs
Botanicare organic Neuts
carbon filter and fan for exhaust
I started with what I think were 30 diseased or sick NYC diseal clones and a hermie which eventually distroyed them all. They sat 18/6 for a month and berely grew and started to flower. Really wierd I know but I am new to LEDs and the aeroflo.
I am about to start on 60 and want to know what anyone recommends in terms of light, feeding and recipe (i have it on 3 on 5 off timer always on), what you use as your medium (hydroton, neoprean collars?) basically anything that can insure that my that my yeild will be as big as every aeroflo user has told me and tips in helping me not mess up this time. I have everything I need, I just need the advise.
I also have a sixty site ez cloner if that helps anyone determine what my medium should be. what should i use for my recipe for the ez cloner?

Thanks for the responses and happy posting

I am just looking for a few tips mr. green... can anyone using an aeroflo tell me what I should use as my medium... I used coco baskets and hydroton last time in the netted baskets and I think that I am going with no medium this time. Is it a good idea with neoprene collars and nothing below... I think that the coco nets were a bad idea and ended up compacting the roots. Look, I am not asking for any secrets mr.green... If you dont want to tell me a recipe that is fine I just thought someone could give me a few pointers on what I think I did wrong last month... I am positive that the last ones I tried had some type of problem in the genetics, I just want this next project to go more smoothly and anything will help.

excuse me. "Mr. Good" not green.
Hey man! I just thought it was odd that every question you had to ask was right up my alley...I thought I was being baited into describing pot growing techniques and shit.

Sorry bout that.

If you have done this before and you have a Aeroflo60 it just seemed you might have known more than you led on.

it's all good man. I was just so frustrated with the bad genetics I got from some cuttings that I kinda blamed myself. I am a noob to aeroponics and I have the manufatured GenHydroponic Aeroflo2 60. I was using, calmag, hydrozyme, sweet, liquid karma, triflex base, grow, and bloom. I have all the advanced neuts but I think I am going more basic so I dont mess it up this time. I have seen people just use karma, calmag and pro blend original and keeping the ppm at around 1300-1600ppm. I think for this project I will use only tap water until the roots to the girls are strong and then add the neuts. I had the last cuttings in netted baskets with coco nets and hydroton but I recently bought the collars for the netted baskets and feel that using no medium is best. do you have any suggestions to a reciepe or what the medium should be? Also I am using LEDs and I am a noob to this aswell. I know that in veg blue is needed more than red but I cant change my spectrum like others can. Should I invest in a new light that provides more blue light to my girls? Does this have to be a LED light too so the girls wont get confused? I have a 40 gallon res. and a huge pump (i think 1/4hp) that came with the setup. I also would like to know about using organic in the aeroflo... Does using organic clog the laser lines? Would it be smarter to use floramicro, bloom, ect from gen. hydroponics? I have a ton of neuts left over from my mess up and dont want to spend the money unless i have to.

those two leds (ufo's) are not going to cut it.....need a lot more led's (trust me)
In order to have any shot of success you need to ditch the LEDs and get lights for flowering. I'm speaking from first hand experience in using both forms of lights.

Thanks for all the help guys. I have like 1 more week in the aquarium before I am moving them into the aero. They will be in a combo of rock wool and hydroton medium. I purchased a 600 MH and 600 HPS for flowering and I also have a 1k with both bulbs.

Is it ok to combine LED and MH/HPS? I have heard mixed thoughts...

Also, should I wait to introduce the 1k until they are big enough?

Last, what is the significance in regards to health, of a wooded stem?
