i chopped my plants last week and let them dry for a full 5 days in a dark closet with a fan blowing in the closet but not right on them, just circulating air. it was dark and cool. temp stayed between 74-78 and between 31-35% humidity. the plants got what i thought was a little too dry. they felt crispy. like a dead weed from the yard. so i cut them down and threw them in jars. i read on here that if you thought you got them too dry you should throw a piece of stem back in there with them. so i threw a piece in there and it seemed to work maybe a little too well. some of them it got back to what i think would be right (i have never grown or smoked) and on my white widow i think it might have gotten too moist. i took the widow out and put it in a brown paper bag and am going to leave it for 24 hours.
now my questions are
does the jar add moisture on its own or does it continue to dry?
so should i pull the stem out or leave it in there?
it feels like it is about 97% dry and has just a slight touch of moisture to it, how dry should it feel?
should it start to flake when i touch it?
just kinda trying to figure this out. any help and i will +one rep for you.
thank you guys so much. i have learned so much on here to get it in jars and be this far. so in 3 weeks will be the test.
