i'm using regular miracle gro soil, which claims to feed plants for up to 3 months. when would it be safe to start using some dilute 20-20-20 on my plants. they are almost three weeks old. thanks!

Dude.. If you want to maximize your nutes for bigger buds, you cannot use Miracle Gro.... Yeah you can figure out a way to grow with it, but you will not be able to pump in as much Blossom builder as you would like.... Miracle Gro is not the way to go, it can be used to grow with, I did it.... But I will not do it again since I have a choice.if your plants look hungry ... feed them
if they look ok ... leave them alone until they tell you they are hungry
that will be perfect, main thing is you don't want those damn time release ferts to pop while you are giving it other nutes cause you will be over nuting.. the FF ocean Forest is the way to go, looks like you are on the road to having a better growthanks for all the info guys. i have been planning on switching to FF ocean forest (supplemented w/ perlite and extra worm castings) when i transplant in a couple weeks. it's my first grow so i'd rather keep the variables that could mess up my plants to a minimum, and it seems most people do not prefer miracle gro. thanks again for the advice!
But it's fun to see what you can do to your plant buy giving them steroids!!Don't nute them bro!!! Just let em grow without the nutes, they'll be fine if you water every 2-3 days.
Cheers
HAHA amen to that man!But it's fun to see what you can do to your plant buy giving them steroids!!
just because you can't figure it out ... doesn't mean it won't workDude.. If you want to maximize your nutes for bigger buds, you cannot use Miracle Gro.... Agreed 100%every single one of you guys are wrong
miracle gro is just as good as anything else, it's just not noob friendly
you have to know what your plants are asking for
fox farm ocean forest is expensive because it's easy
miracle gro is cheap because its hard to use
Not that we are scraed to give the MG grown plants nutes, but you would have to give the plants at least half of the reccomended dosage per feeding to avoid nuteburn.. To me that is not the way to grow, but I guess everyone has their own style. I like to put my plant on the edge of nuteburn, without actually harming the plants.. I was doing this quite well until the MG F'd me in the A.. my own fault I guess, but all could have been avoided if I had a controlled growing medium. MG is to unstable for mystyle, I also am the type to tend to my plants regularly... I treat them as if they were my children....miraclegrow's npk is .21/.07/.14 so why are we afeared to put nutes on?
