boiling my bong, a good idea?

normally i would just boil a glass bong but the bong i want to boil is acrylic and has a big wooden base design thing. Is boiling the wood such a good idea? and if not how would i go about cleaning it? rubbing alcohol and salt???

you'd be better off with the alcohol and salt you'd probably split the wood by boiling it

no to boiling.... wodden base? well man, i would think you would have to be careful what you do clean it with. it would suck for you to ruin a nice bong by cleaning it with something that will fuck up the inside

go down to ur local head shop and see what kind of cleaners they have. they make kinds that are for just acrylic

yeaaah i boil my glass bongs and it works very well.. this bong is about 28 years old passed down and if i broke it id shoot myself

crushed ice works well for abrasiveness, and getting big stuff out. It melts and you just pour it out. I'm a little bit anal about changing the water every time I smoke so mine never really get too dirty. salt and rubbing alc. work well. I've known a lot of people that have cracked their pieces while boiling.

lol i couldnt clean me bong everytime i smoked it the first bong of a cleaned bong always tastes like shit to me
