Oakland Aiport, only airport in the world to allow safe travel with cannabis

If anyone else reads West Coast Leaf (a pot newspaper) then they should of picked up on Oaklands news.

For Prop215 sb420 patients they're allowing the safe travel of medical marijuana. I think that's the most awesome fucking news i've heard in a long time. Meaning instead of driving pounds down... I can fly it safely back home. :twisted:bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

"Oakland is officially the only Airport in the world with a policy explicitly stating patients must be allowed to board their aircraft with medical cannabis". An Oakland attorney's theory is that all medical marijuana states will soon have the same policy if local patients and activists demand it. That is pretty fucking rad, imho.

FAA regulations state that if a person is traveling with drugs that are legal in the state then it is okay for the pilot to operate the aircraft knowing it is on board. It may be the one documented place where federal policy actually defers to state law...



Anyways, just wanted to share the good news. I'm pretty excited to fly home with legal weed on me bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

Despite this policy, I just wanted to explain how fucking STUPID the POLICE can still make a situation involving weed.

"Cannabis writer Ed Rosenthal has his medicine confiscated by Alameda Sheriffs on a recent trip and he informed them that they better not destroy it because he was going to get it back when he returned. They told him "fat chance". He said when he first inquired about it they claimed they could not find it. They had given him no receipt. He declared 'I know the names of the officers who took it and I can just head over to the District Attorney's office to report my stolen marijuana if you would prefer'. Then he received a call telling him that it was okay to pick up... his experience was a complete hassle, which CLEARLY shows that even with a policy in place rogue officers can still make it difficult for patients if they choose".

Douche bag officers.

There is no argument over this... the answer is plain and simple. FUCK THE POLICE. You can uphold broken law somewhere else with your shit paying job. Fuck you if you're a cop. I don't care how "cool" you are. Fuck you.

Every single cop is a power monger and has been an abusive fucking tool at least once in their laughable "career". That's enough for me, fuck them all.

I wouldnt go as far as saying all police are power mongers. I have had pleasant experiences with them even involving weed. However, a high percentage of them are like that and its unfortunate. I hope the cop that got his ass whooped was a bad one rather than just a normal guy doin his job. Don't get me wrong though, I hate all confrontation with cops but I just don't think its fair for all them to be considered faggets that beat up innocent people or those who don't deserve it.

By all means I completely agree and I even have friends and coworkers who are and have been cops. But it's pretty much fact, once you get that badge'd power... you will abuse it once. At least.

Us patients holding and having our medicine is a way different story than the large, legal grey areas that involve running a dispensary. Patients are VERY much more protected by law.
