Just wondering what everyone thought of emergency blanket as a cheap alternative to mylar. I dont have 30 bucks to go get some mylar right now and the blanket was 2.88 at walmart. I bought it put it up there and i was wondering what people thought. Would it be better with the blanket or nothing at all?

I have mylar, but since my walls of my grow room are flat white, I left it alone.

It's working for me. I put it up more as a heat sheild/light trap with the intent to upgrade to something better. Just keep tweaking your set up as you go and it becomes a little more affordable. I started with $7 light in an armoire.... our american friends refer to it as ghetto..now that's what we call trailer park up here... lol

I just used that on my PC build. I don't have a local source for Mylar, so I went with what I had. Next time I travel to the city, I may pick some up, but I wont need it for a while. One thing is for sure, Safety blanket is way more reflective than white. The blanket I bought was less than $3.00
