you guys have probably heard of these, but i just cant stop thinking about how awesome it is

you plug it in, and it converts the humidity in the air into drinking water...

ok, so its a little steep at $1350

but you never have to worry about running out of water!

what do you guys think

Nope, couldn't justify $1350 to have water when it's 5 cent a gallon.

but if ever a situation happened when you couldnt do that,

it basically creates water

Ok, but what situation could you be in where you have no source of water, but you still have electricity?

well there is this bullshit about water shortages (and i live next to billions of gallons of the shit)

and if you had a solar generator it would produce more than enough power for you to get water from the sun

would need an outside source of electricity

Ok, well maybe it's worth it to you, but I live on the coast and I don't see myself running out of water anytime soon. I'd be boiling river water before I spend $1000 on something like that.

and i live near the cost, but thats not stopping water companies all over the state claiming there is a water shortage

and then jacking up the water prices

its bullshit

I agree.

It's ironic thats your argument for a $1000 de-humidifier that keeps the water though. :)
shit dude if it meant i would never have to worry about drinking water ever again and i had the cash id buy it

And you would find yourself having to ration when you can flush your toilet, and rinsing dishes would be a bitch.

ok godamnit

ITS A DEHUMIDIFIER, dont pay 1000. just buy 5 dehumidifiers from walmart, its the same godamn thing.

you could make one yourself with an airconditioner and a fan, build metal box around cold side of ac, aim fan at cold metal, place drip catcher under edge.

if u pay 1 grand for cold soda cup technology, your way too paranoid, i mean for that money you could get a small desalinization station.

or you could have a well put in, those can also run on solar.

hell just plug in an ac in outside and it will drop water like a mutherfuck

and it will also use more power, costing more to upkeep

and will that make gallons a day? prob not

will it filter the water? no
does it look good? no
